 Rededication Svc

Thanks to all who came out and helped rededicate Rachel’s Park Memorial to the Lord and His little ones. It was a special time together. We had folks come from out of state to participate. Rich Hagen and his precious family came from Little Rock, AR and are desiring to establish a Rachel’s Park Memorial in their state. This would be a great blessing as we seek the Lord to establish one park in every state of the union.

Another brother from Little Rock, Thom Huey, drove a big rig, an 18 wheeler, to participate. He filmed a tour of the park and the entire ceremony. Most important, he came to mourn the loss of his child to abortion and honor her memory. The following is the plaque that will be soon mounted on the Wall of Remembrance.

Another family desires to do the same and we will soon mount another plaque. The following is the message delivered as we asked God to hallow these grounds with His Holy Presence.

First of all, I would like to thank all those locally and throughout our nation who helped with the funds, materials, and labor to restore Rachel’s Park Memorial. This last desecration was the third time our park was vandalized. It was by far the worst attack. The silver lining in this last assault was there seemed to be more of an outrage in the community and a response of compassion to restore the park. We thank the Lord that what the enemy means for harm; God can restore and turn to the good.

In 1991, there were more than 2000 free standing abortion mills defiling our land. Today, there are about 600 remaining still advancing the American holocaust under our watch. Roe vs. Wade is still considered the law of the land and yet abortion is going the way of every other tyranny of man. How is this possible? Gentle Christian living out their faith at the gates of hell knowing they shall not prevail against the church of the living God.

At some point, America will have to come to grips with our complicity and complacency concerning this grave evil against our own defenseless children. Many will be reminded of this horrendous sin against God and their brutal crime against their own nameless sons and daughters. Thus this deep, festering wound that has polluted and defiled our beloved land must be adequately cared for.

If you have your Bibles turn to Jeremiah 6:14. God’s words states, “They have also healed the hurt of my people slightly, Saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ When there is no peace.” Another translation reads, “They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious.” This was Jeremiah’s rebuke to the ministry of his day. Israel had plunged into perverse idolatry, which included child sacrifice, the shedding of innocent blood and the sexual immorality that inspired this pagan practice. The nation was hemorrhaging and too many people thought it was no big deal, when in fact; it truly was a big deal.

Rachel’s Park Memorial was built to treat the deadly wound of abortion that has afflicted our nation and its people. We did not want to be found in a position that Jeremiah described in his day. We wanted to adequately care for the wound that has savaged our nation for the last 40 years.

There are many post-abortive families who have availed themselves of this park. Most of them had a similar response, “We had nowhere to go.” Without human agencies, people burdened with the sin and crime of abortion come here and instinctively know they can grieve and mourn the loss of their children. There is testimony after testimony that details how God literally knocked folks to the dirt of this park. On these grounds, people have wept, wailed, and repented of murdering their children in the name of choice. When they stood up God blessed them with forgiveness, salvation, and deliverance. We pray these testimonies will continue as we seek with God’s aid to establish one park in every state of the union.

The Four-Fold Pillars of Rachel’s Park Memorial

We first dedicated this park to the Lord and His little ones 13 years ago. Today, we are having a rededication service. It is important, therefore to publicly acknowledge the four-fold vision and mission of Rachel’s Park Memorial. The four pillars are:

First, Rachel’s Park Memorial exists to bring glory, honor, and majesty to the true and living God; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost, the God revealed in the Holy Bible. This park acknowledges Him as the Creator, Sustainer, Giver, and Governor of all life. It is our desire that this park uphold His revelation, truth, and laws that promote the sacredness of life and the protection they afford as opposed to the lie of the “quality of life” that has been utilized to exterminate millions of tiny American citizens in the womb of their mothers.

Second, Rachel’s Park Memorial seeks to advance the Gospel of the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To fulfill the Great Commission that calls upon all true believers to disciple the nations, baptize them, and to make sure the nations (which include America) keep the commandments of God (Matthew 28:18-20). To the glorious end that man might come to know the saving grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ by repenting of their sins and rebellion against God’s loving rule.

Third, the Park honors and memorializes our nameless sons and daughters that have been cruelly lost through the American holocaust called abortion. It is consecrated to restore the humanity, the dignity, and the personhood of our precious children America has denied since the infamous Roe v. Wade Supreme Court Decision on January 22nd, 1973. Thus, Rachel’s Park Memorial will become a resting-place for the innocent victims of abortion, prayerfully, in each state of the Union.

Lastly, RPM will seek God’s grace to provide post-abortive ministry for families that have been devastated by this grievous sin against God and this crime against humanity. Prayerfully, the park will provide for those who grieve the loss of their children a solemn place to receive God’s forgiveness, healing, and deliverance in Jesus’ name!
