Pastor Mark Holick with foreword by Rev. Flip Benham 6/11/2009
Fellow Christians,
The Press Release: Below is a formal "Press release" by Heartland Transformation Ministry Network. It appeared in the Wichita Eagle on Monday, June 01, 2009 Join us: If you would like to join the list of pastors and ministry leaders, please reply by email to davidg@htks.net Deadline: 10:00 AM Wed. June 3rd. I will do my best to get everyone listed. Please note whether you are a Pastor, Rev. or ministry leader so I can note appropriately and the name of organization if you desire that added as well. Thank You God Bless, Pastor David Griffis President Heartland Transformation Ministry Network From Heartland Transformation Ministry Network Re: The tragic death of Dr. George Tiller The Lord calls us to love justice and show mercy, and this act of violence in taking the life of Dr. Tiller is a violation of both commands. Such hostility and loss of life should lead us all to confession, repentance, and prayers for healing of all that is broken in our hearts and in our relationships with one another. We are praying for God's peace and comfort especially for Dr. Tiller's family and friends, the people of his church at Reformation Lutheran, and for our community. May the Lord forgive us and lead us all to be better than we have been in keeping with the Lord's command to "love your neighbor as yourself. " It is our hope that we might all pray together at a gathering soon for the Lord's presence, mercy, and love, in order that His Light might shine through the darkness, and that He might arise with healing in His wings. This press release, by its deafening silence, is a complete betrayal of the ten's of thousands of innocent baby boys and girls incinerated at Kellogg (the busiest street in Wichita ) and Bleckly. Silence always, always, always... sides with the oppressor, never the oppressed. This press release is a complete fulfillment of the Lord's Word, thus making it prophetic in Jeremiah 5:28 ... and (they) have grown fat and sleek. Their evil deeds have no limit; they do not plead the case of the fatherless to win it... This press release is designed to appease men and James. 4:4 states ... know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. I wonder how many times Heartland Transformation has worked and coordinated, to get is pastors and members to issue and sign a statement declaring the need for "justice and mercy" for the babies?? Has there even been one? Please forward me a copy. This isn't about justice and mercy; it is about appeasing the opinions of men. An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last. -Winston Churchill Heartland Transformation calls upon us to "Love our neighbor as yourself," I wonder if Heartland Transformation has ever had the courage to declare such a thing for the unborn? I call upon Heartland Transformation to a public forum or if they prefer a debate to discuss what is the biblical role and responsibility of the Wichita church in connection to both abortion and Tiller. The Wichita Eagle published responses by 15 different groups. Heartland Transformation, your response was essentially equal to that of Planned Parenthood Federation of America! I call upon Heartland Transformation to "plead the case of the fatherless to win it!" Also signed:
