Battle Heats Up in Denver, Colorado Evidently, the way the enemy is attempting to remove the Gospel of Christ from the streets is to incrementally legislate it off by petty city ordinances. This is happening in Charlotte, Waco, Dallas, Columbus, Richmond, and others including Denver. It appears that we will be joining all of you saints in Denver this summer for our National Event, July 16-23, 2005. God is in it and you all have been ever so faithful to Jesus and His children! We are praying and fasting every Monday evening to Tuesday evening for this event and what God would have us speak to our nation. We have four years to prepare our nation for what is coming. We will begin in Denver. Praise God! - Flip Denver's pro life ‘Name and Shame Campaign' is in full swing and is proving to be quite effective. In the last month pro lifers visited three abortionist's homes. One abortionist has quit Planned Parenthood in Denver and the other's neighborhood is up in arms. Arapahoe County, where Abortionist Reid Goodman lives, has implemented an unconstitutional ordinance that restricts the size of a picket sign to 18” x 24” and each picketer is only allowed to carry one sign. Although Ken Scott and his wife Jo have challenged the ordinance, the courts have not responded in a timely manner. But vehicles are not included in the ordinance. Ken Scott brought his “Glory Van” to Goodman's neighborhood Saturday, Oct 30th and therefore
made their ordinance of no effect. Just as a side note, in the near future there will be several more vehicles in the neighborhood. Abortionist Goodman's neighbors have taken such offense to pro-lifers picketing Goodman at his home, that after trying everything that they could think of to keep them off their streets, including foul language and filthy gestures, fifteen neighbors have planted these signs
on their lawns. “WE SUPPORT OUR FRIEND AND NEIGHBOR DOCTOR REID GOODMAN AND A WOMAN'S RIGHT TO CHOOSE.” Now each and every time Goodman drives down the streets of his neighborhood he is reminded that he will soon be visited by picketers. The Saturday picket drew Goodman's neighbors out of their homes to curse at the pro-lifers and was counter picketed by two neighborhood boys carrying yard signs. With the help of Keith Mason and the Survivors, the Arapahoe County ordinance will be challenged once again. On Thursday, October 21, 2004 the Survivors went into abortionist O'Loughlin's neighborhood located in Arapahoe County with a 4'x 8' Kerry, Edwards campaign sign. Knowing that the content of this sign would not be found offensive, the Survivors called the police on themselves and reported that a very large offensive sign was being carried around the neighborhood. They were asked what was on the sign. When they told the dispatcher that it was a Kerry, Edwards campaign sign they were told that it was perfectly legal, and that it was free speech. Within the next 30 minutes three police officers drove by only to smile and wave. The phone call to the police was recorded.
The following day, Friday, Oct 22, the Survivors went back into the neighborhood with several digital movie cameras, Ken Scott's glory van and a large abortion sign. Abortionist O'Loughlin was home at the time and became irate. Within minutes 5 squad cars arrived. The ordinance requires that picketers must be warned before any action is taken, but that is not what happened. Under pressure from the ranting abortionist, not only was Keith cited without a warning, his camera was confiscated and Ken's van was impounded. Then with film still rolling Officer D.P. Fox confiscated and demolished the 3'x5' abortion sign and threw it into his trunk. Ken Scott said “The police have destroyed or “lost” our signs before, but never right in front of us and on film no less.” Keith Mason made a call to the Survivor's lawyers and they in turn called the Arapahoe county sheriff's office, resulting in Keith getting his camera back and the van being released without charge. Although the Scott's could have picked their van up from the towing company on the following Tuesday afternoon they elected to leave it at the facility until Friday because it was in a prime location for picketing and it wasn't costing them a dime.
