Encouraged to “Choose Life” over the Democratic Party

On Monday, September 4, 2004 , Flip and his family met up with Brother Bill Shanks and Roy McMillan to give a voice to the unborn at the Baptist Convention in the Mississippi – Louisiana area. This is a predominately black convention. John Kerry will be speaking there on Thursday, September 9, 2004.

They were there passing out literature and holding the signs of Baby Malachi. Flip would call out to them and ask them if they loved Jesus. They would respond with a resounding, “Yes! We love, Jesus!” Flip would again ask, “Hasn't Jesus been good to you?” They would reply with a wholehearted, “Yes!”

Once more Flip would call out, “God says that children are children at conception. Do you agree?” The response was, “Yes, we agree!”

Flip's final challenge was, “The Democratic Party squarely stands for the murder of little baby boys and girls in their mother's wombs. If you love Jesus, then speak for life. We must give them a voice! John Kerry stands for death. You can't serve two masters!”

What was their response? “I'm not gonna get into all the politics! I preach against abortion!”

It was clear in this case that the Bride of Christ has been bribed by the Democratic Party and governmental give-away programs. Certainly their loyalty lies with the Democratic Party because of its stand during the civil rights movement. They remember history. The Republican Party did not help our black brothers and sisters. It was the Democratic Party that saw the injustice during the civil rights movement, but they don't look far enough into history to find out it was the Democratic Party that was pro-slavery to start with.

Although they feel the Democratic Party has been so good to them, they forget that Jesus is the true liberator. Their allegiance should be to Jesus, not to any political party.

These are dynamic Christians who truly love the Lord, but they don't see the obvious double standard. The Party to which they look to as the “champion of liberty” is pro-homosexual, pro-death, and in direct opposition to the God that they serve. When you make this point, they stop up their ears.

One of the pieces of literature that Flip and the team passed out was called “Black Genocide” from Life Dynamics. In it is a quote from Margaret Sanger, Founder of Planned Parenthood, written to Clarence Gamble in 1939. This quote states, “We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through religious appeal. (The Democratic Party has lived this out to the “nth” degree in politics concerning our black brothers and sisters today – Flip.) We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their most rebellious members.”

In this statement you can see the murderous agenda behind Planned Parenthood and those who are staunchly pro-death. The one who has come to rob, kill, and destroy is behind it all and by and large the black church in America has fallen for it.

At this convention, these dynamic Christian brothers and sisters have been sold a bill of goods. They have been forced to choose between two masters. They choose the Democratic Party over our Lord.
