Minutemen United is heading up a charge in Danbury, Connecticut this April 18, 2006, to remind the citizens of our nation what made America truly great. Jesus Christ made this nation great and made it free! We will be joining Coach Dave Daubenmire, Minutemen United, and several other stalwart friends of Jesus as they bring the theology of the church house right into the streets of Danbury Connecticut . There we will proclaim, in the loudest voice and in the clearest exposition, the whole truth about the letter written by Thomas Jefferson in 1801 to the Danbury Baptist Association where he first alluded to “the wall of separation between church and state.” - In 1801 President Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to the then Baptist Church of Danbury on Clapboard Ridge Rd. mentioning "The Wall of Separation of Church and State." It was meant to mean that Government could not interfere with or favor one church over another but that God could be involved in government. Today it has sadly been misinterpreted to mean all mention of God in government is forbidden because Satan has wanted it that way. Storming the Gates of Hell – Danbury, Connecticut Minutemen United is heading up a charge in Danbury, Connecticut this April 18, 2006, to remind the citizens of our nation what made America truly great. Jesus Christ made this nation great and made it free! There is freedom in America unlike any other nation on this earth because the Spirit of the Lord is our foundation. Apart from Him there is no liberty! Unfortunately, many have fallen under the diabolical myth of the “Separation of Church and State.” No more abominable lie from the pit of hell has done greater damage to our Constitution, crushed our liberty, and brought more destruction to the people of America than this one. Its time to tell the truth about the lie! We will be joining Coach Dave Daubenmire, Minutemen United, and several other stalwart friends of Jesus as they bring the theology of the church house right into the streets of Danbury , Connecticut . There we will proclaim, in the loudest voice and in the clearest exposition, the whole truth about the letter written by Thomas Jefferson in 1801 to the Danbury Baptist Association where he first alluded to “the wall of separation between church and state.” - Flip Below you will find an encouraging word from Coach Dave and a letter to pastors in Danbury by Pastor Bob Cutting: We believe that the Pastors in Danbury have a territorial authority over the area. Pastor Bob Cutting, who is heading up the effort in Danbury , is reaching out to the pastors and church leaders in the area. We are looking for those who are willing to engage the enemy on behalf of this nation. Below is a copy of the letter Pastor Bob has sent out. We are proud that Minuteman Pastor Bob Cutting is working so diligently. – Coach Dave Dear Ministry Leaders and Friends in the Greater Danbury Area, THERE WILL BE A PRAYER VIGIL AND RALLY at the Downtown City Center Green from 3 pm - 7pm on April 18th. It is a Tuesday and it is the anniversary of Paul Reveres ride. IT IS NOT A PROTEST or Picket line situation (as some have sinfully rumored). Almost every Pastor we have contacted had given a favorable nod to the idea. In 1801 the then President Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to the then Baptist Church of Danbury on Clapboard Ridge Rd. mentioning "The Wall of Separation of Church and State." It was meant to mean that Government could not interfere with or favor one church over another but that God could be involved in government. Today it has sadly been misinterpreted to mean all mention of God in government is forbidden because Satan has wanted it that way. We believe that IT IS TIME to turn the Spiritual tide BACK TO THE TRUTH of the intent of the founding fathers. It started here in Danbury and the change back should start here in Danbury. What better time than the anniversary of Paul Reveres ride? Instead of "The British are coming" the call is "Get the Devil out of Here!" It is a call to prayer instead of arms. After all, to the Christian, that is more powerful. Isn't it? THIS WILL HAPPEN WITH OR WITHOUT YOU. We would rather have ALL Christians with any kind of a conscience on board. SPECIAL FOR PASTORS AND MINISTERS WHO REALLY BELIEVE: At 2 pm we will have a special prayer vigil at the foundation of the Old Baptist Church where this started. God has seen that the building went into disrepair in the 1920's and was finally taken over by the town and torn down as it fell down. I say only if you are a HOT PASTOR that believes in prayer do we want you to be part of this Gideon's Army. The site is small and we must limit how many come. If we have too many Pastors a second group will be formed in the vicinity of the Old Congregational Church Site (now the Savings Bank of Danbury) on Main St. They will gather on the side street sidewalk and then prayer walk a few blocks to the City Center Green to arrive there around 3 pm. Protesting types, Picketers etc. WILL NOT BE WELCOME. I hope that you will mark this date with Pastors joining us at 2 pm, others at 3 pm and working folks directly after work until we break up on or about 7 pm. Thanks
