The Darkened Logic of Bill O’Reilly vs. True Salt and Light!

 
Just a couple of hours after Roy Moore's press Conference declaring his stand for God and the Ten Commandments -- the lights went out in New York City! The die has been cast, the line has been drawn. Like the prophet Elijah before him, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of Alabama has aligned himself with God and His Law.

Our Pilgrim Forefathers, our Founding Fathers, and those who have followed hard after Christ since then, are giving Judge Roy Moore a resounding Amen! That's right! Those who died to make this nation free are cheering him on in the great cloud of witnesses. It’s about time they had a chance to cheer.

We are joining him in Montgomery, Alabama, August 20-22 and will be conducting an Ecclesiastical Court outside the Federal Court Building where Judge Myron Thompson chose to lift the stay and call for Judge Moore to remove the Ten Commandments Monument. Judge Myron Thompson is in contempt of the Court of Almighty God. He has committed high treason against God, our Constitution, and our nation.

We, the Church of Jesus Christ, will hold him accountable for his treasonous and treacherous actions.

Over the years, the culture wars have put Christians at odds with the liberal pro-abortion, pro-homosexual types for obvious reasons. But there is a far worse adversary than those who are obvious in their rebellion against God and His Word. It is those who look more like friends and mask that same rebellion in their hearts, namely Conservatives.

Bill O’Reilly is the kingpin of the conservative voice. He has done more damage to the Kingdom work than most liberals ever thought about doing. Why? Because he calls himself a Christian and feels he knows how to interpret the Bible better than anyone else. Bill disagrees with Jesus, Paul, and Matthew that the New Testament fulfills the Old because in “his great wisdom” Bill understands that the Old Testament is just an allegory.

This is a man who won’t allow the book of Romans to be entered into a discussion of the sin of homosexuality. In his “illuminated mind” the first four books of the New Testament are the only ones that apply to us today. I am sure there are scriptures Bill could take issue with in the Gospels, such as “Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand.” Matthew 4:17. I am sure he could explain to us that repent doesn’t really mean repent. It simply means try to aspire to the infinite knowledge that Bill O’Reilly seems to have achieved.

Can I tell you that we, genuine born-again believers, are suffering at the hands of our so called conservative friends much more than the hands of our sworn enemies. We have our shield up ready to deflect the arrows of the Democratic Party. We are ready and waiting for their attack, but it’s the arrows being flung into our backs that are truly injuring us. They are the ones coming from our so called friends. Why? Because Conservatism is pretend salt. (See article below)

Last night, Alabama State Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore did a beautiful job of defending the Faith, the Constitution, and the founding of America on Biblical principles. He did all this on The O’Reilly Factor. He was a brilliant light. God used him powerfully to cut through the darkened logic of Mr. O’Reilly. God is using Judge Roy Moore as a beacon to shine the very essence of the Law of God throughout this nation. America has forgotten her history and has all but turned her back on God. Interestingly enough, the lights were out all across the Northeast.

“Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light for my path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow Your righteous laws.” Psalm 119:105. All that was discussed across the nation last night was how the northeast was “powerless” and full of “darkness.” We watched on the television thousands upon thousands of people lining the streets trying to find a way out of New York City before they were trapped over night. Could it be that God is showing us the utter chaos of lives lived in darkness? This nation is hanging in the balance. If we allow the Ten Commandments to be removed not only in Alabama, but throughout our entire judicial system, we will be plunged into a darkness we nothing know of in this nation. Without the Law of God there is only powerlessness and darkness. “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.” John 3:19

God is using Judge Moore to draw a dividing line. Judge Moore stated this, “Because as chief justice of Alabama, I'm sworn to uphold the Alabama Constitution. I'm the chief administrative officer of the justice system. And our justice system is established invoking the favor and guidance of Almighty God. The constitution says, 'we the people of the state of Alabama, in order to establish justice, invoking the favor and guidance of Almighty God.' When the federal judge says I cannot acknowledge God, I can't do my job. When you take an oath to swear to uphold that constitution, and you don't acknowledge God, you judge for yourself.”

Here it is America. It is the same battle that was manifest in the garden. It is the same battle that has been fought throughout history. It is the same battle that must be fought in our nation today. It is the battle between two seeds. Is it the “seed of the serpent” or the “seed of the woman?” Is it “my body, my rights, my choice” or is it “not my will, but Thine be done?”

There is a dividing line being drawn. It is not between Democrats and Republicans. It is not between Conservatives and Liberals. It is between those who will stand firmly upon the Law of God and those who won’t. It is between those who are willing to surrender everything to Jesus and those who are “right in their own eyes.” Use whatever title you need to assuage your conscience, but understand that God is not looking for the big tent Republican Party to fight His battles for Him. He is looking for what He has always looked for – a man after His own heart! Judge Roy Moore is such a man. Are you? This nation is depending on it! “I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before Me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.” Ezekiel 22:30.

Conservatism is Pretend Salt!

As Christians we are called to be salt and light in a world that is rotting on the inside from the consequences of sin, and attacked on the outside by an enemy (the devil) who has come to rob, kill, and destroy. The world, in all of its wisdom, is in utterly helpless and without hope in this battle - no answers, no solutions, no way! One need only listen to the talking heads and politicians of our day to realize they are clueless. The catastrophic events in the Mid-East, "9-11", bloodshed coursing down the corridors of our streets, workplaces, and schools - oh, what to do! Violence is filling our land!

It is into this hopeless, decaying world that the Church of Jesus Christ is called to bring salt and light. We do battle with the sin that destroys from within and the enemy who destroys from without. We are called to take captive our thoughts and make them obedient unto Christ (2 Cor. 10:5). Then we are called to crush the head of the enemy robbing, killing, and destroying (Gen. 3:15, Rom. 16:20).

The Church of Jesus Christ is the only institution ordained by God to fight this battle against the sin raging from within, and the devil raging from without. It is the only true salt and our only hope for victory. Unfortunately, the salt has abdicated its responsibility to be salt in the earth and light in the world. It has become good for nothing except to be, trampled under the feet of men (Matt. 5:13).

Not only are we being trampled under the feet of sworn enemies of our Lord who support abortion, homosexuality, euthanasia, ad nauseum, we are also being trampled under the feet of another so-called friend - CONSERVATISM!

As our nation attempts to defeat the spirit of murder presently savaging our land, the Church of Jesus Christ has delegated the job to one who cannot win the battle. Enter modern day conservatism!

Conservatism looks like salt, talks like salt, acts like salt, seeks the vote and friendship of salt, yet, when the test of taste comes, it is revealed for what it really is - a tasteless enabler of perdition! That's right! Conservatism enables true salt to remain in the shaker while it attempts pragmatic deal making with an enemy bent on destroying God's children.

Conservatism will work hard on bills like partial birth abortion, parental notification, etc., but will never stand firm for all children whether they are six months old in the womb or two seconds old. Conservatism is a pathetic substitute for the vibrant salt of real Christianity. Conservatism poses no threat to the enemy from within (sin) or the enemy from without (the devil).

Rush Limbaugh, the penultimate conservative, has no problem supporting conservatives like Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison, even though he knows her to be pro-abortion, because she is a fiscal conservative. Rush believes that conservatism is the answer to America's woes. Rush will sacrifice Christian principle to elect conservatives

"Right to Life" organizations in the state of Texas worked hard a couple of years ago getting the "parental notification" bill passed and signed into law by then Governor George W. Bush. It was hailed as a great victory for the pro-life movement. Florence Shapiro, however, the state senator who authored the bill, was Republican, conservative, and pro-abortion! Yet she is now considered a friend to the pro-life community. Conservatism thrives in this muddying of the waters.

Conservatism will confront the enemy with the evil he promotes but, on the day of battle, will always retreat. Conservatism always tries to reason and compromise with the enemy seeking some "common ground" or "reaching across the aisle." Conservatism is politics' answer to Christianity. Its modus operandi is pragmatism. Principle is abandoned and obtaining and maintaining political office is its summum bonum. In order to become more appealing these days it calls itself "Compassionate Conservatism."

If you have been watching our President and his administration lately you will note the waffling, pandering, compromising, ad nauseam of Christian principles to the god of conservatism. If conservatism is the hired gun of the Church to take on her political enemies, it is a pitiful squirt gun. How the devil must laugh! Just watch him laugh through Yasser Arafat, Ted Kennedy, the abortion industry, the radical homosexual agenda, Tom Daschel. They serve their "god" with absolute allegiance. They know that they can count on conservatism to sell her "god' for thirty pieces of silver and political office.

The result of the Church of Jesus Christ allowing conservatism to fight the battle savaging our nation is that we are losing, but at a slower pace. Conservatism's goal is to lose as slowly as possible while maintaining office. If Al Gore will take us off a cliff at 90 mph, George W. Bush will take us off the same cliff at 45 mph. The sorry fact of the matter is, however, that we are all going off the cliff.

Conservatism is pretend salt, for it has never found a cause for which it is willing to die. It will never fight to the death the mortal enemy of God's children. Death for conservatism wipes away any hope of continuance. Life or political office must be preserved at all costs. Our Lord said, "He who seeks to save his life will lose it…" therefore, conservatism will always lose in the Gospel battle we are called to fight.

This is not so with Christianity - true salt! Christians will unapologetically fight the battle against our enemies from within and without in the Name of Jesus Christ. We hold no office so dear that the principles of our Lord would be ever be compromised or sacrificed. If we die in this battle we know that the victory is ours, for our Lord fought to the death and He now lives. He dealt the enemy a deathblow and made a public spectacle of him.

True salt will live up to the character of her Lord and be unashamed of the Name of Jesus and His Words in this wicked and sinful generation. It will stand firmly upon God's Word and let the chips fall where they may. The gates of hell cannot prevail against the Church of Jesus Christ. They shall, however, forever prevail against conservatism.

Conservatism is a pitiful and exquisitely deceitful substitute for Christianity. It is pretend salt!
