A Day of Infamy - Lawrence v. Texas, June 26, 2003

That America is rapidly approaching her last days on earth was startlingly revealed on June 26, 2003. It is a day that will go down in infamy. Her slow but ever quickening downward spiral into moral degradation (read Leviticus 18) has finally reached rock bottom. Like Sodom, Egypt, and the Canaanites before her, she has now embraced sodomy and made it her god.

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court of the United States of America ruled on June 26, 2003, in Lawrence v. Texas that there is a constitutional right to homosexual sodomy. That's right! In one fell swoop, the Supreme Court threw out God, His Law, over 4,000 years of history, and its own past precedent, to declare sodomy, in all of its perverse forms, a constitutional right in America.

We are shocked, but not surprised by this utterly absurd ruling. America's highest court has had a history of finding things in the Constitution that are not there. It found the right of a mother to kill her unborn child somewhere in the Constitution on January 22, 1973. Indeed, the Supreme Court of the United States of America has declared itself to be God.

It would do us well to consider what the Bible has to say about judges: "…Consider carefully what you do, because you are not judging for man but for the Lord, who is with you whenever you give a verdict. Now let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Judge carefully, for with the Lord our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery'…'In every case that comes before you from your fellow countrymen who live in the cities … you are to warn them not to sin against the Lord; otherwise his wrath will come on you and your brothers. Do this, and you will not sin."
2 Chronicles 19:6-7,10.

According to this Scripture, the Supreme Court of the United States of America has sinned in its rendering of the Lawrence v. Texas decision! Far from warning us not to sin against God and His Law, it has informed us with "new enlightenment" from a "living" Constitution that sodomy, like abortion before it, is now a good thing.

Yes, the Supreme Court of the United States of America has betrayed our God, our nation, our people, and has invited the wrath of Almighty God to come upon us - all of us!

How Did Lawrence v. Texas Begin?

This whole case was a set up from the beginning by the Lamda Legal Foundation. Lamda is a homosexual brain trust seeking to press the radical homosexual agenda through the courts of this land. In 1998, John Lawrence, a white male, and Tyron Garner, a black male, phoned in to a police station in Houston, Texas, that there was an armed intruder on the premises. Notice the "politically correct" white and black touch demonstrating the wonder of "diversity." Lamda Legal knew what it was doing.

The police broke into Lawrence's home to find the intruder and found instead the two men actively engaged in blatant sodomy. Both Lawrence and Garner were arrested and pleaded no contest to breaking the Texas sodomy law. They had done it on purpose to bait the police and establish a case. They spent a night in jail and were each fined $200 plus court costs.

Lamda Legal now had the case it wanted because the convictions barred both Lawrence and Garner from holding several types of jobs in Texas and required them to register as "sex offenders" if they were to move to another state. Lamda was looking to overturn the 1986 Supreme Court ruling in Bowers v. Hardwick that upheld the legitimacy of state sodomy laws. Chief Justice Warren Burger wrote this concurring opinion concerning Bowers v. Hardwick: "…In Constitutional terms there is no such thing as a fundamental right to commit homosexual sodomy." But that was then (1986) and this is now (2003).

Lamda has now won the day in the Supreme Court and the homosexual community is ecstatic. It is parading its sin like Sodom throughout our nation. And why not? The Supreme Court of the United States of America has just declared that one can love God and practice homosexuality too! How 'bout them Supremes! We need to remember, however, that the Supreme Court had already ruled in 1973 that a mother could love God and kill her unborn child. What next? Maybe the court will rule that one can love God and have sex with consenting two-year-olds.

Who is at Fault?

The Scripture is true, "The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men." Psalm 12:8. Everybody and every behavior, no matter how perverse, seems to be out of the closet these days and strutting its stuff. Everybody, that is, except the Church of Jesus Christ. For whatever reason, she has decided to remain in the safe confines of her four walls trying with all of her might to make herself more appealing to a world that hates her. The world hates her because she is supposed to be testifying that what it does is evil. Jesus said it this way, "…it (the world) hates Me because I testify that what it does is evil." John 7:7.

The real reason we have such abominable rulings like Roe v. Wade and Lawrence v. Texas is that, long before these rulings came down through the gates of the court, the lies that bolstered them were first allowed through the gates of the Church of Jesus Christ. That's right! The blame for the spiritual and legal quagmire we find ourselves in today rests squarely upon the shoulders of the Church of Jesus Christ. "The kings of the earth did not believe, nor did any of the world's people, that enemies and foes could enter the gates of Jerusalem. But it happened because of the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests.…" Lamentations 4:12-13.

We have no one to blame but ourselves. The enemies of Jesus Christ (abortion, homosexuality, Islam, etc.) are having their way in America because, in our attempt to win the world for Christ through "luv" and tolerance, we have become more like the world and less like Christ. The world can't distinguish between that which is good and that which is evil because the Light of the World has become dim. We no longer speak of the moral absolutes of Almighty God for fear of appearing narrow, unreasonable, and judgmental. The light that we are called to shine into the darkness has become timid and dim, very dim.

What Can We Do?

"Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law resist them." Proverbs 28:4.

When the Supreme Court of the land contradicts the Law of God, we are called to resist that challenge and keep God's Law no matter the cost. If it wasn't clear before, certainly since June 26, 2003, it has become painfully obvious that we Christians have allowed the people in America to forsake the Law of Almighty God. The salt has lost its saltiness. We are praising the wicked in this nation (abortionists, sodomites, false religions, ad nauseam) because we Christians have failed to rightly stand upon God's Word. We have sought the favor of men rather than favor with God.

We must repent before God. There is nothing we can do until we first repent, and turn from our own wicked ways. It is only then that God will even hear our prayer.

We Christians must stop relying on Republicans and conservative mercenaries to fight our battles for us. Conservatism is pretend salt. These two will never fight the battles that must be fought with the ability to win them. Neither the Republican Party nor conservatism has found a cause for which it is willing to die. For them the sumum bonum is attaining and remaining in office. They have both been found to be worthless "enablers" of perdition.

If you doubt this, just remember that Republican Presidents appointed four of the justices who made up the majority in Lawrence v. Texas. Our Republican President has not uttered one word about this horrendous decision because he is worried about what? We are suffering more at the hands of our supposed friends than we are at the hands of our avowed enemies. Remember this when the National Right to Life insists you vote Republican next year.

We then must hold the Supreme Court of the United States of America in contempt of Court. It is in contempt of the Court of Almighty God. It is in contempt of the laws of God that it was sworn to uphold. It is in contempt of God's love for those lost in homosexual lust and bondage. It is in contempt of the Court before whom every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Then we Christians must storm the gates of hell (the Supreme Court of the United States of America) and demolish every stronghold, every argument, and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. We must take back the land the enemies of Christ have stolen through the gates of this court. We must resist the devil and his lies at every turn. The gates of hell cannot prevail against the Church of Jesus Christ, but they will forever prevail against the Republican Party and Conservatism.

Soon thousands of saints will come to the steps of the Supreme Court in humble repentance. We have been told that it is illegal to pray on the steps of the Supreme Court. We won't be praying. We will be holding an Ecclesiastical Court with evidences that America's highest court is in contempt of the Court that truly is supreme. We will become a "living parable" and a public rebuke to a court that has become detestable in the sight of God. If we love those lost in homosexual bondage we must demolish the lie that their lifestyle (their sin) is somehow acceptable to God. It is not!

This lie must be demolished so that those enslaved by homosexual sin may be set free through the liberating power of Christ. Our Supreme Court has tried to legitimize sodomy in much the same way it has attempted to legitimize abortion. It is up to the Church of Jesus Christ to fight this battle. To do any less would be a betrayal of the Gospel of Christ.
