Dear friends of Be'ad Chaim Below is an email Flip received from our pro-life brothers and sisters in Israel, along with his response. Let us join with our brothers and sisters in Israel to petition the Father on their behalf. The work they have been given is difficult, yet they have been faithful to proclaim the Gospel to a people unwilling to receive it. Stay strong and be of good courage, Marvin. The Lord is on your side. December 24th, 2002
During the past year, Be'ad Chaim suffered a serious decline in donations, which constituted a 29 percent drop in contributions as compared with the year 2001 and a 33 percent decrease from the year 2000. Our expenses remained fairly constant during the past three years. As a result, two difficult decisions were made in an effort to reduce ongoing expenses, namely: first, that we will not, at this time, take on another counselor to replace Orit, whose resignation will go into effect at the end of this month and second, that we will close down our branch office in Haifa at that time, as well. It is hoped and prayed that no further measures along these lines will need to be taken and that our financial situation will improve to the point that we cannot only reopen the office in Haifa, but add other branch offices in different locations. The Board of Be'ad Chaim is asking that you join with us for a time of prayer and fasting on Friday, January 10th, 2003. For those who are able to physically be with us, we will be meeting at Kehilat HaMa'ayan in Kfar Saba, beginning at 09:30 and continuing until 15:00 that afternoon. For those who are not able to be with us in person, please add your prayers to ours as we petition before the Throne of Grace for wisdom and direction and as we look forward to the New Year with anticipation that the Holy One of Israel will open for us doors for effective service. On behalf of all of us at Be'ad Chaim, I would like to thank you for your prayers and practical assistance in helping us to prevent the shedding of innocent blood in this Land and its resulting consequences. With every best wish and blessing for a healthy and happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year. Marvin
S. Kramer This is Flip's response: Dearest Marvin, It was such a joy to meet both you and your precious wife Orit in Haifa this past November. We were all greatly impressed with your love for Jesus and your love for his children in Israel waiting to be born. So many young Israelis are being slaughtered by their own, God's chosen people. True terrorism in Israel resides in the hearts of her people who treat with utter contempt God's blessing of children (arrows) by slaughtering them as if they were of little value. The greatest terrorism to the nation Israel thus far has come from her own people. The Muslims have certainly not killed as many Israelis as Israel herself. Perhaps God is using Islam, as He used the ancient hostility of Esau toward his brother Jacob, to wrestle with Israel and bring her to her knees until she says, "Baruch haba B'shem Adonai." I can only pray that the brilliant testimony of Marvin and Orit Kramer will be a sign by which all of Israel will come to a knowledge of Christ. We were greatly saddened to hear that the office in Haifa would be closing. So many lives, certainly more than you could possibly know, were saved because of your faithful witness. Remember your brothers and sisters at Kehelaite Ha Carmel. They will help you during this time of trial. You are a marvelous spokesman for the pre-born and a powerful minister of the Gospel. Do not be discouraged or dismayed, God is with you. In Christian love, Flip
