Fire School of Ministery on Mission for God

Fire School of Ministery
on Mission for God

by Flip Benham

Fire School of Ministry, a four year college with about 150 students, partnered with Operation Rescue/Operation Save America in our God is Going Back to School effort at North Mecklenburg High School. Fire School of Ministry moved to Concord, NC at about the same time we were holding the annual OR/OSA event there. Dr. Michael Brown is president. He, Scott Volk and Bob Gladstone are wonderful men of God.

The Fire School students are filled with the spirit of Christ. These kids have added a Holy Ghost punch to our ministry. They have come to the abortion mills and gay events, proclaiming that Jesus and Jesus alone is God. They had 40 folks out at North Mecklenburg last Wednesday. They love to share the gospel. They're sold out to Jesus!

David Drye, Sr., and his wife, Ann, were killed in an airplane crash in the summer of 1999. Mr. Drye was a powerful Christian businessman and a great friend of Operation Rescue, who prayed fervently that God would bring together ministries in the Concord area. He didn't live to see Fire School come to Concord, but we know how he would have loved that. In addition to the Billy Graham Association, Fire School and OR/OSA, Hank Hanegraaff, The Bible Answer Man, is moving his ministry from California to Concord.

God is raising up an army, an incredible standard, and David Drye, Jr., is carrying on the ministry. I'm convinced that God himself orchestrated this. This answer to prayer is an incredible thing to behold. God's vision and mission brings a unity that man can't accomplish on his own.
