January 8, 2002 What if God Gave a War and His Church Did Not Come?
Mr. Tiller's terror mill opened shop for murder a day early this week (Monday vs Tuesday) and Christians scrambled in order to get a presence on-site. Mr. Tiller knows the presence of Christians on-site preaching and worshipping Christ fosters an atmosphere incompatible with killing children. He knows what few pro-life by conviction Bible-preaching pastors appear to know, judging by their fruit. When was the last time your pastor preached on this? Does his church practice what he preaches? Yes, when pastors lead their flocks on-site against the gates of hell, the Lord Jesus always prevails. The obvious fruit the Devil and those in his employ at abortion mills hate to see is women changing their mind and not killing their children. Conviction compels many in the Church to do something, so they mistakenly substitute presents of money to the CPCs, in place of the presence of Jesus in His Church at the gates. The former ought to be done, while the latter must never be left undone. See Jesus words in Matthew 23:23 A number of CPCs and some of their supporters succumb to the temptation to shy away from those brothers and sisters in Christ that obediently take King Jesus to the gates. A few have even been critical of these "other people" - Oh not to these Christian's face but to the heathen in the pro-abortion media. The Lord Jesus weeps. I know He weeps because the only way He can weep is through His people who abhor this sin and pray for repentance to go forth. Now even CPCs in full support of the single largest cause of referrals of abortion-bound mothers - Christians proclaiming Christ on-site mislabeled as protesters - are paying the price. The 60s had a slogan, "What if they gave a war and nobody came?" Many of us, sick of a US policy "not to win" in Vietnam, parroted this slogan in our ignorance. This question needs to be answered today. History tells us the answer. If we refuse to go to a just war, the war will come to us. Pearl Harbor and the present Islamic terrorist war are vivid proof. The Church has mostly neglected to take Jesus to the gates in the war against Unborn Children, and the war of shedding innocent blood has come to us in our streets, homes, schools, workplaces, and now the war comes to the local CPC. Last fall, NARAL instituted a national war on crisis pregnancy centers accusing their offers of full truth on abortion of being "a terroristic fraud." They called for investigations and prosecutions. Now in New York, rabid baby killing advocate Attorney General Elliot Spitzer in cahoots with NARAL has launched an assault of investigations of New York's crisis pregnancy centers. Spitzer's investigations say some of the centers "may have violated one or more statutes by misrepresenting the services they provide, diagnosing pregnancy and advising people on medical options without being licensed to do so and/or providing deceptive and inaccurate medical information." This sounds more like a list of daily SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) at all 1100 abortion mills in America. The list of papers, forms, web addresses, training materials, blank forms, records of all agreements made, list of all persons who received any services and ad nauseam being subpoenaed from CPCs by Spitzer is an obvious NARAL agenda to squelch any alternatives to abortion from being given to women. Chris Slattery, the founder of Expectant Mother Care (which operates 5 centers in New York) says the investigation and "probable lawsuit" are "an attack on the heart and soul of the pro- life movement's compassionate wing." And preaching Christ at the gates is not compassionate? The old Martin Niemoeller quote springs to mind, "When the Nazis came for the Jews, I did not speak up because ..." "Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be heard." (Proverbs 21:12) Perhaps this war now turning to the CPCs will wake the Church up to the real war aim, silencing the gospel of Christ and truth by all. On CPCs Slattery adds, "What they really want us to do is to put crosses in our ads, say we are pro-life and [tell the public] 'don't call,' And if a woman does call, say 'don't come in because we don't offer abortions,' and if they do come in, then they want us to say 'please wait until we have a licensed professional to counsel you who will be morally neutral on abortion, who will give you non-directive counseling.'" Run to the war! There is no neutrality. First they came for those at the gates mislabeled "extremists" and did you speak up? Now they're coming for the effective, mislabeling them "deceivers." Without the Church at the gates, they will come for the pastors. By the time they come for those sitting in the pews, no one will be left to speak up. Fight by taking King Jesus to the gates, or embrace your chains. In Christ's
love,
