June 14, 2002 A Guilty Conscience is a Terrifying Thing Recently an article was written in the Waco Tribune called "Abortion site sparks hot debate." The article covered the controversial website called Abortioncams.com. To the author, Terri Jo Ryan's credit, she did seek to balance the article from the local Pro-life perspective. Unfortunately, many local Pro-life leaders were abroad and with the constraint of deadlines the article was presented solely from Planned Parenthood's skewed perspective. Pam Smallwood and Pat Stone, no strangers to free publicity decided to hitch their collective wagon to this media generated hysteria concerning Abortioncams.com to illicit sympathy for their pro-abortion cause. After wading through their absurd claims of terroristic threats against them, (with not one shred of concrete evidence presented, except of course, their own words) one would have thought the article was called, "the victimization of the abortion industry." In this article, Planned Parenthood attempted to portray itself as a modern day hero suffering through the day to day terroristic threats and acts of violence perpetrated by mean-spirited, Pro-life Christians in its efforts to provide women "health care" (read, kill children). What it really fears, however, is that God-fearing Christians will continue to expose the lies and murder of the abortion industry and remain on the streets to offer mothers a real choice called life at their abortion mills. Yes, the entire abortion industry is crumbling under the weight of its own sin and it knows it. Abortions are at their lowest level since 1976. New doctors are not entering into the abortion industry. One just has to look at the desperation in New York City to force medical interns to learn the abortion procedure to verify this truth. There are 675 fewer abortion mills today than there were in 1991. The battle for the lives of children is being won as gentle Christians live out their faith at abortion mills. Yes, terrorism is a reality today. Just ask the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and the 3,800 little baby boys and girls that are being targeted, tortured, and murdered every day in America by those who would have you believe that they are the ones being terrorized. These terrorists don't fly airplanes however, and neither do they knock at the door of the mother's womb. No! They just barge in and begin ripping off arms and legs of defenseless children. They then throw away these children like a piece of trash. If this is just inflammatory rhetoric and a lie, then I invite Planned Parenthood to sue me for libel and slander. When we show them the horrible carnage of what they do, they simply run to the media to whine that they are victims of terrorism. They are being terrorized all right; it is called a guilty, seared conscience that is in danger of reprobation. By presenting itself as the victims of terrorism, they deceptively conceal the terrorism they commit against innocent children who are made in the image of God. When one loses an argument morally, scientifically, and theologically, he can only resort to one other ruse to win - argument ad hominem (name-calling). Thus we have the abortion industry's latest campaign to vilify Pro-life Christians as terrorists. The abortion industry is doing all that it can, with the bias support of the media, to remove the focus from itself and the horrific terrorism it perpetrates upon innocent children in the womb. They must have a scapegoat to deflect their evil and Pro-life Christians fit their bill. Regardless, the battle for the lives of unborn children is being won as gentle Christians live out their faith in the streets of their cities. One by one, abortion mills are closing. One by one abortion industry employees are repenting and giving their hearts to Christ. One by one, mothers are choosing life for their children. Jesus is bigger than the abortion industry and the gates of hell they represent, He is the one it should fear for destroying His image-bearers and not some website! Rusty Thomas & Flip Benham
