What is evident from responses to Flip's comments that we are receiving, is that there is an extraordinary hunger right now for Christian leaders who will not cower in the public arena but will speak the truth fearlessly.

    Let Flip know what an inspiration he is to me with his boldness, not to be bullied by anyone. Gives me great fervor next time I speak nationally to just say the truth and who cares who says what! (O'Reilly really opened my eyes - NEVER will I allow myself to be set up like that again, and in Christian love, I will go truthfully and boldly on the offensive.

Dear Rev. Benham,
    Peace be with you, I watched the last half of the Donahue show last night (9-25-02) in which you were on. I don't know anything about you or the organization that you are the director of but, I commend you for the truth of the Scriptures that you proclaimed in the part that I saw. You made a very bold and honest representation of the Holy Scriptures in a time and atmosphere where it is not culturally popular. It reminded me of a hymn with a chorus that goes "Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus." In effect, when we proclaim the truth of the Gospel, we are proclaiming the truth about Jesus. That is what we as Christians are supposed to be doing, that is what the Scriptures commands us to do, and what you did in the segment that I saw last night. You not only supported Jesus last night, but every God fearing TRUE Christian on earth. Lord's blessings,

Dear Rev.
    I am writing you to thank you for your appearance on the Donahue show the other night. I am an 18 year old student at [college name and town removed] in Florida. I was so impressed that someone would go on national television and tell people the truth about Jesus and how he is the only way to get to heaven. My friends and I were praying so hard for you to say the right stuff and that it wont be compromised, like how everyone else says it, just so nobody gets offended, but you were right on and said exactly what I think Jesus wanted you to say. I am glad that there are still some men of God like you that are keeping their standards and telling the world about Jesus. I hope that one day I can get involved with OSA and be used to win souls. Thank you for taking a stand and being an uncompromised man of God.

Flip, I thank God for the stand you took for the name of Jesus Christ on last night's Phil Donahue show. I was not able to see the program but just reviewed the transcripts on MSNBC's web site. Thank you for so boldly proclaiming the truth of the gospel, the truth of who Jesus is! I am a youth leader in my local church and constantly battle the humanistic and worldly philosophies being shoved down the throats of our young people in the public schools of America. Keep on keeping on! You are not alone in this fight!
