FACTS: Pornography Hurts Families and Communities

 
Here are documented facts on the harmful effects that pornography and sexually oriented businesses have on families and comunities. Only the Church is equipped with the moral and Scriptural authority to confront local leaders on these vital issues. We are not just a bunch of "Bible-thumpers" trying to spoil someoby's idea of fun. The facts on how porn and SOBs are harmful prove the Word of God to be correct.

"The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous.  FACTS: PORNOGRAPHY HURTS FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES

O.S.A. Wichita Reports:

•   86% of all child molesters use pornography.
•   70% of all pornography ends up in the hands of children.
•   87% of all rapists use pornography.

A.F.A. findings from cities and courts across the country:

•   Sexually oriented businesses (SOB's) are frequently used for unlawful sexual activities, including prostitution and sexual liaisons of a casual nature.
•   Concern over sexually transmitted diseases is a legitimate health concern to protect the health and well-being of the of the citizens.
•   Licensing accountability is used to ensure establishments comply with regulations so establishments are not used as places of illegal sexual activity.
•   Documented evidence that SOB's have a negative effect on nearby businesses and residential areas causing crime and downgrading property value.
•   SOB's have serious objectionable conditions to their locations including urban blight and downgrading the quality of life in the area.
•   Persons frequent adult businesses for the purpose of engaging in sex within the premises of such businesses.
•   At least 50 communicable diseases may be spread by these activities including syphilis, gonorrhea, HIV-AIDS, genital herpes, hepatitis B, salmonella infections, etc.
•   Sanitary conditions in some SOB's are unhealthy because activities conducted there are unhealthy.
•   Numerous studies report bodily fluids such as semen and urine are found in areas of SOB's where persons view adult videos.
•   Nude dancing in SOB's encourages prostitution, sexual assaults, and other criminal activity.
•   Nude dancing in SOB's increases the likelihood of drug-dealing and drug use.
•   Alcohol consumption in adult businesses increases crime, illegal drug use, illegal sexual activity, and encourages undesirable behavior not in the interest of public health, safety, and welfare.
