Colorado was the 1st state in the Union to legalize abortion. It was 1967. The author of this monstrous legislation was a young representative named Richard (Dick) Lamm. You will remember that it was Dick Lamm, who later became Governor of Colorado, that came up with the malevolent "duty to die" idea. Yes, while Governor he gave an interview to Playboy Magazine stating that when one gets old, he has a moral obligation and duty to die (lethal injection?). This, he said, was necessary so that we not waste precious and irreplaceable resources on people who cannot produce.

Any wonder then, that the state of Colorado has become such a bastion of hatred toward Almighty God? University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill hates the Word of God and hates America, yet his inflammatory speech is allowed and lauded on campus while Christianity is methodically being censored. Remember Proverbs 8:36 "...all who hate me love death."

The culture of death in America had its legislative beginnings right here in Denver, Colorado. It is our prayer that, when we climb the steps of the Capital building in Denver this summer, it will be the beginning of the end of "legalized" abortion in our land. Those who carry in their hearts the love and life of Christ are going to crush the head of the lying serpent that brings only death. There is no "common ground."

I just finished spending five wonderful days with the saints who are preparing the way for us in Denver. They are so excited that we are finally coming to their state. Having the National Event come to Colorado has been a prayer of theirs for several years. They have planned our way to storm the gates of hell in Denver, Boulder (home of the University of Colorado), and Colorado Springs (home of Focus on the Family), trusting that the Lord Himself will direct our steps.

As to be expected, whenever we select a site to storm the gates of hell with the sharp double-edged sword of the Spirit (the Word of God), the Gospel battle begins to wax hot. There a 32 places where children are killed in Denver and the surrounding area. They are being killed at free-standing abortion mills, Doctor's offices, and hospitals.

One of America 's most notorious abortionists is Warren Hern. He resides in Boulder and wrote the basic textbook on abortion killing procedures with such graphic language that it made even the most calloused abortionists grimace. He has recently joined with George Tiller to build abortion mills overseas.

We look forward to the day of battle in Colorado this July 16-23. We come with our faces low to the ground, the sharp double-edged Sword of the Spirit firmly in our grasp, and our eyes fixed on the Author and Perfector of our faith.
