The Ubiquitous Censorship of the Gospel of Christ

The Ubiquitous Censorship of the Gospel of Christ

How many times have we been told by well meaning Christians, "I don't like those pictures, but when they legislate you off the streets because of the message, I'll stand with you." Well, here it is! The devil is no longer hiding behind the offense of the pictures. It's the very message of the Gospel that is said to be "too offensive."

"God is Going Back to School" in a powerful way! We are now spending the entire week at one school passing out literature dealing with evolution, homosexuality, abortion, and Jesus vs. all other religions. Our kids have real questions concerning these issues and they need real answers. In its attempt to erase all knowledge of God, the NEA has censored anything to do with Christianity from our kid's textbooks and classrooms while immorality and false religions are taught as truth.

Now as the "Light of the World" shines forth in the dark halls of our high schools, the devil is in an uproar! An absolute panic has filled the hearts of school administrators. The horrific stand off by terrorists in a school in Beslan and the recent findings of plots against American schools in Iraq will be used to try and legislate this "1000 feet buffer zone" as a safe guard for our kids. But know this! The battle at the high schools is not over terrorism. This battle is over who is Lord and whose laws reign! Our kids are being protected from one thing and one thing only - the Truth of the Gospel of Christ!

In the article below you will see where school administrators in Charlotte, NC are looking toward legislating us off the sidewalk surrounding the schools. This is also happening in Waco, TX and Milford, CT. In Columbus, Ohio where we held our national event, the city is looking into legislation to keep us off city property. In our nation's capital we were told we could not bring our Bibles and gather at the Washington Monument .

Church of the Living God, rise up and defend your Christian heritage! The battle lines were drawn years ago and for the most part we were silent! Stand up while there is still some firm ground to stand upon!

Zealots offend students with protests

CONCORD, N.C. – Some students and parents are protesting the protesters who have been camped outside of Concord High School this week, handing out anti-abortion literature to students.

The demonstrators are part of a group called Operation Save America, which touts its members as the saviors of unborn children.

"We desperately need to allow Jesus and God back in school," the group's leader, Rev. Flip Benham, said into a microphone as he stood in front of Concord High School. "So administrators, please allow the kids to take the literature in."

But not everyone wanted Benham's handouts.

"A lot of students don't agree with what they're saying because they say a lot of things that shouldn't be said," said Concord student Chris Pearson.

Robert Watson said the group was wasting its time by demonstrating in front of his school.

"They're out here preaching and nobody's listening," the student said.

But disdain for their cause didn't stop those rallying outside classrooms.

"We're saying that abortion is murder," Benham said. "We're agreeing with God. We're saying that homosexuality is sin. We're saying that Islam is a lie and … that Jesus is the way the truth and the life."

"It's just really harassment to people because they'll sit there and ridicule gays and blacks and Islams and everything," said Ryan McMurry. "It's just, I don't know, I think it's terrible."

School officials said even though they do not agree with the group's message of intolerance, they can do little about it because the protesters are exercising their constitutional rights and have a permit to be there.

That is why administrators are hoping to get a resolution passed to stop this sort of activity on school property.

"We've encouraged our parents to contact public officials and to say we don't want any kind of demonstration within 1,000 feet of a school building," said Assistant Superintendent Jim Amendum.

Meanwhile, all they can do is try to keep students from reacting to the protesters, as they did at South Rowan High School recently.

"We found out that this group was at South Rowan and at that high school, there was a lot of confrontation going on and a lot of problems occurred," Amendum said. "So we're trying to keep our kids safe and keep them calm."

So far, there have not been any problems, and school officials say they hope to keep it that way.
