Update From Flip in Montgomery Flip is still in Montgomery. He said that this morning he got to pray with about 30 pastors who were truly repentant before the Lord. He said that there was such a sorrowful heart for what we have allowed to take place in our nation. He read Lamentations 4:12-13 which says, “The kings of the earth, and all inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy could enter the gates of Jerusalem – Because of the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, who shed in her midst the blood of the just.” He then took them to Matthew 7:3-5. Flip and the pastors prayed that God would remove the planks in their eyes so that they might see rightly before God. They read Psalm 132 and closed with 2 Corinthians 7:10-11, “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourself to be clear in this matter!” Godly repentance will produce righteous action. Pray for what is taking place in Alabama. Pray for Flip and the saints in the heat of the battle. Pray that God would use these pastors to sound a clear trumpet call to their congregations all around the country. It is time for the Church to rise to her high calling and defend the defenseless. It is time that we understand that the Kingdom must advance and we must forcefully advance it. It is time that we understand that wickedness must be resisted and not tolerated in this nation. It is time that we realize that we have been born for such a time as this! God
bless you! Keep following hard after Christ!
