Bloodguilt Report from Tom McGlade North United Methodist is located about 500' from the entrance to the Sarasota Women's Health Center - the abortion mill which the Lord has led us to target with the gospel of Jesus Christ for the past fourteen years. Consequently, we didn't feel required to serve notice that we were coming to present the message of blood-guilt. We set our signs at each entrance and began to pass out tracts. Linda was able to witness to two precious young men (Jonathan,12 and Hosea,15 years old) who were totally shocked at the message we brought through baby Malachi. They had no idea of what abortion was really like and were totally devastated when they found out that an abortion mill was located practically upon the doorstep of their church. Later, we discovered that Jonathan's dad was the pastor of the Spanish church that met weekly in the fellowship hall of the Methodist Church! Not long after we had taken positions, the pastor (of the Spanish church) and one of the men of the church approached us demanding that we leave. The man with the pastor turned out to be one of Sarasota's police officers who we recognized as one who has been consistently antagonistic toward our efforts at the mill. When the pastor told us we should take our "protest" up the street (at the abortion mill), the officer was quick to sarcastically blurt out, "They're there all the time!" The pastor begged that we remove the signs from the sight of the little children entering the church, at the same time, he offered to open up his pulpit to us that we might explain our message to his church - if we complied to his wishes! He told us that we could even bring in our signs after the small children had been dismissed! Please pray as we secure a date to bring the message of life to this church which has been ignorant to the heart of God concerning the message of innocent blood.. Incidentally, we also got to speak to the pastor of the United Methodist Church, who was totally indifferent to our presence at his church. He declined to receive our offer come to his church, as well as the Spanish church, saying that he already did all the "pro-life activities" and that he encouraged his people to vote pro-life. (In all the years that we have been active at that abortion mill, we have never seen his face anywhere.) In any case, we left the premises in the hopes that we might get the chance to speak to the little Spanish church. We will go back if we must. Palmetto First Baptist is a great church. I felt compelled to meet personally with the pastor, rather than just sending a letter. I had never met the pastor before; he had been in the church less than a year. We had a splendid meeting. Though he was very pro-life, he had never seen the problem which blood-guilt addresses, and the problems repentance from this sin solves. So many in his church were hurting, so many prayers have gone unanswered; he began to connect the dots. I went in humility asking for his help, he being an elder in the gates of the city. I was firm, telling him that either he or we would bring the message to his church, but that the message would be spoken. He embraced me as a brother when I departed. We have started a communication which I hope will grow into a coalition of pastors encouraging other pastors to come to grips with the plight and consequences of blood guilt and the actions required to reconciliate our nation from this horrible sin. The First Baptist Church of Bradenton was the first
church we went to with the message of blood guilt. We received amazing reports
that within one week after our visit, the senior pastor, the youth pastor and
the education administrator were no longer employed by the church. What could
the Lord be saying?!!!
