This report covers our activity at Jackson State University.  We had some incredible conversations.  The graphic Display that Tom Raddell, Dale, Mike Warren, and Jerry Crawford, set up was thought provoking to say the least.  We were amazed at the kindness and affirmation of the Gospel of Christ at this predominantly black university.  It was awesome to share Christ with these students.

“Sir, did you know they are killing babies right there?” asked a young blond woman as a Jackson Free Press reporter approached the Jackson Women’s Health Organization in Fondren.

Anti-abortion activists from six states are occupying each of the four corners at State Street and Fondren Place as part of a nationwide campaign known as States of Refuge.

Dueling sound systems–an anti-abortion protester preaching from the Bible and a clinic security guard blaring police siren noises–annoyed local business owners and resulted in a visit from two Jackson police officers who stood by to keep the peace.

The Mississippi campaign is especially important for the anti-abortion movement, said organizer Chet Gallagher of Nevada.

“This one has the opportunity to close before the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade,” said Gallagher, who wore a black leather jacket and black baseball cap with the word “Jesus” in red lettering.

Earlier this year, Mississippi lawmakers passed a law requiring doctors at abortion clinics to be certified OB/GYNs and have admitting privileges at a local hospital. The new law is an additional regulatory layer that could shutter JWHO, the only abortion clinic in the state, whose doctors come from outside Mississippi to perform abortions.

A federal judge put full implementation of the law on hold to give the clinic time to comply, but if none of the hospitals where JWHO applied for admitting privileges accepts the clinic’s application, Mississippi could become the only state where women would not have access to abortion, a right guaranteed by a 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision.

The Rev. Rusty Lee Thomas believes the Declaration of Independence, which guarantees Americans the “right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” supersedes the court’s ruling because the word life appears first.

“Without life there is no liberty,” said Thomas, a native of Waco, Texas.

The States of Refuge campaign, which is part of the anti-abortion network Operation Rescue/Operation Save America, began the day after Election Day, Nov. 7, and continued through Sunday, Nov. 11.

Here are some more great reports of what God is doing in Jackson, Mississippi as a result of our visit.  When God goes back to school – all hell breaks loose and all heaven comes down.  What a joy to be His instruments at such a time as this!

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (John 15:13)

This brave women in the humanistic temples we call public schools dared to become “heretical” and crossed the line to present the truth to her students. She may be fired as a result. Jesus stated, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” She may be laying down all that she has worked for all her life for the sake of the Lord and His little ones. This is how Mississippi will become an abortion free state. Please pray for this woman. Here is her story.

“These who have turned the world upside down have come here too” (Acts 17:6).

True Christianity lived out by faith produces in our world of sin and darkness a revival or riot proposition as this news story demonstrates.

What George Orwell articulately stated is true!  “When deceit becomes universal, truth becomes a revolutionary act!”  Look what happens when truth goes to our public schools in Jackson, Mississippi.

The Thomas Nation begins the long trek home today. We very much enjoyed our time in Mississippi storming the gates of hell with the saints of God. Much was accomplished as we move forward by the grace of God to present to our Lord the first abortion free state. It looks like Mississippi stands on the verge of making history. All signs point to Jackson, Mississippi for the 40th year anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. There will be more on that later.

Here is another story articulating the vision and mission of the States of Refuge campaign. The Lord exceedingly muitlpied our message. Thank you for all your prayers, love and support in Jesus’ name!

Living out our faith in the streets of Jackson, Mississippi this past week was powerful.  The media surrounded us at many of our venues where we lifted up the Name of Jesus – we never sent out a press release.  The saints in Mississippi, who have so faithfully been the instruments used to shut down four abortion mills in Jackson, have only one abortion mill left in the entire state of Mississippi.  Mississippi is within a hairbreadth of becoming the first abortion free state in America.  Here’s the report by Heather Clark via Christiannews.net.

Here is a great report from Chet Gallagher as he has been traveling across America allowing the theology of heaven to become biography at the gates of hell.  He and Johnny Brekeen have been on the road for the past month now, concentrating their efforts in the five states that have only one remaining abortion mill left.

We pray that very soon we will be able to present to our Lord the very first abortion free state in America. ~ Flip

Here is the “Truth Truck, (with some new messaging) that my co-laborer, Johnny Brekeen and I have been driving since leaving Las Vegas 2 weeks ago.

So far we’ve been in 16 states, prayed with dozens of intercessors and sidewalk counselors in front of 27 abortion mills, visited almost over a dozen Crisis Pregnancy Centers, and most of all probably a hundred thousand plus Americans may have viewed the truth Truck exposing the ugly reality of baby butchering through legalized abortion on demand.

Expending 454.8 gallons of diesel fuel at an approximate cost of $1933 we are in the final days of an amazing journey. As of tonight (10-31-2012) we have driven 4,647 miles and we ain’t done yet! Our total “behind the wheel” driving time to date is 97 hours and 45 minutes.

If you would like to help defray the costs of this amazing journey please:

Dear Elijah Ministries,

My name is: (add your name).  I have just made a donation in the amount of:  $____ to cover the final expenses for the 5,000+ mile States of Refuge Truth Truck Tour because I also believe abortion will not end in America until America sees abortion.

Thank you!

Friends we are now in Mississippi preparing to help direct the 5 day pro-life Outreach for the States of Refuge taking place here in Jackson, MS Wednesday November 7th-11th. We may actually see Mississippi become the first abortion free state just days before the 40 year Anniversary of legalized pre-born baby murder.

Here’s a special treat. Enjoy this video and keep praying!

Chet

We pray that many of you are planning to join us in Jackson, Mississippi, this November 7-11, 2012.  Here is a short report of some of the exciting events that took place as Jason Storms and his School of Evangelism moved into Little Rock, Arkansas, after we had just finished storming the gates of hell at the last free standing abortion mill there.
The battle is being won by simple little Christians living out their faith in the streets of our cities.  To God be all the glory!      ~ Flip

As Chet Gallagher and I are preparing the way of the Lord in Jackson, MS for our States of Refuge regional event, we received this encouraging report from Jason Storms who leads Faithful Soldier School of Evangelism.  They recently returned from storming the gates of hell in Arkansas. The following is the powerful report. Please pray for our efforts. May the Lord raise up more ministries like FSSE to partner with us to liberate America from bloodguiltiness one state at a time in Jesus holy and mighty name! ~ Rusty

Arkansas Tour Report

By Jason Storms

Faithful Soldier School of Evangelism ventured down south to Arkansas this month to assist in a national pro-life effort. States of Refuge, led by Operation Save America, seeks to bring pro-life ministries in successive waves through the five states in our country with one remaining abortion clinic. If one of these clinics closes its doors we will have our first abortion free state since Roe v Wade!

We focused our outreach the first two days at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway – 30 minutes north of Little Rock. We had excellent crowds gather as we open air preached, displayed signs, and distributed literature. In the south most students are professing Christians and claim to be pro-life. The difficulty we encountered was not getting agreement with our message, but rather getting folks to act pro-life.

We frequently heard such phrases as “I would never have an abortion. I think it’s wrong, but it’s not my place to judge.”  This confusion must be driveling from the pulpits because we heard it like a broken record from good church-going, “saved” folks.

We had some success in contesting these bad ideas as many students told us their mind had changed after listening to the preaching and discussing with members of our group. Just as Paul “reasoned and persuaded” (Acts 17,18, 19) so we too seek to be ambassadors of our King. This requires patience, listening, and boldly setting forth the truth of God’s Word with all the force of reason and conscience bearing down upon them. This is how the Holy Spirit brings conviction of sin, knowledge of God and repentance to a lost soul. It is a joy to partner with the Holy Spirit in the great work of the Gospel.

Arrest in Hot Springs

One of our young men joined with some locals in Hot Springs for some extra-curricular activities. Hot Springs has a thriving homosexual community. In front of a local “gay” bar seemed like a good place to share the gospel. Unfortunately the local police didn’t think so. Aaron, a young FSSE student, was arrested for standing in front of the bar.  After a short discussion the police asked Aaron to turn around. He thought they were going to check him for weapons and then tell him where he should stand to exercise his First Amendment rights. Instead they cuffed him and took him into jail! The next day as we came to bail him out, an officer at the precinct told me “He was telling folks they were going to hell, you just can’t do that. They had to take him in.” Fortunately the ADF has supplied us with a lawyer, the same attorney defending two other brothers who were arrested at the Little Rock abortion clinic two weeks prior during a States of Refuge event.

The Last Arkansas Surgical Abortion Clinic

The lone clinic in Arkansas flaunts its bloody work in the face of the local church. We were blessed to see a handful of locals interceding for babies headed to their death. It was a privilege to stand with them as a voice and a presence against the bloodshed.

We pray that more Saints in Arkansas would hear the call to stand up boldly for Christ. Cowering in the comforts of our suburban community churches will not satisfy Christ’s command to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations. We were tremendously blessed by the few brave locals who stood on the streets with us, who showed us such love and hospitality, and who fearlessly let their lights shine before men that they may see their good works and glorify their Father in heaven. We pray for them and that the Lord would add to their numbers.

May the continued efforts of the States for Refuge campaign awaken a Spirit of Revival amongst God’s people and end abortion in this nation! Thank you for all your prayers and support on behalf of our labor for Christ and the voiceless.

In Christ,

Jason Storms

We are looking forward to and encouraging you to join us in Jackson, Mississippi, this November 7-11.  We will be storming the gates of hell at the last remaining abortion mill in the state of Mississippi.  We are praying that sooner, rather than later, we will be able to present to our Lord the first abortion free state in America.  Chet, Coach, Cal, Rusty, Dale, and a whole slew of us will be allowing the theology of heaven to become biography in the streets of Jackson.

Please note: this event begins the day after our Presidential election.  Rest assured that neither Republicans, Democrats, nor Third Parties, are going to plead the case of the fatherless to win it.  That is solely the job of the Church of Jesus Christ.  The gates of hell cannot prevail against her.  So, come on, let’s give ‘em heaven in the streets of Jackson!    ~ Flip
