ESTABLISHING BLOODGUILT - THE PROJECT
Press Release, January 20, 2002

On January 20, Operation Rescue National/Operation Save America will be taking the abortion battle right to the very door of the Church of Jesus Christ. The campaign will begin this January and continue on the third Sunday of every month. Saints from across the nation will bring the horror of abortion, with graphic pictures and literature, right to the front door of the most evangelical churches in their cities. It is a new concept, yet as old as the Scripture, which can bring an end to the abortion holocaust that has been savaging our nation for 29 years.

Establishing Bloodguilt -- the Project, is a call for God's church to stop waiting for a pro-life Supreme Court, pro-life Congressmen, or a pro-life President to fight the battle for life. It is a call for her to repent of her apathy and indolence, and engage in the battle. It is a call to allow the wonderful theology of the church house to become biography in the streets of our cities.

"We don't have to wait for the Supreme Court, the Congress, or the President to bring an end to child-killing. Abortion will end in America, when the Church of Jesus Christ makes up her mind that it will end, and not one second sooner." Said Rev Flip Benham, National Director of Operation Rescue/Save America. "The
campaign will begin in 43 cities. If ever there was a time for the Church in America to rise up and confess her failure to speak for the unborn, the time is now. When she does, the abortion industry in America is history!"

Sunday, January 20th will be honored in several churches in the metroplex as Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. It occurs on the Sunday closest to January 22. This is the date in 1973 that the United States Supreme Court decriminalized child killing by overturning all pro-life and anti-abortion laws in the United States through its Roe v. Wade decision. Since 1973, 44 million children in America have been delivered to death in "legal" abortion chambers. In Texas alone, there were 73,000 children killed in the year 2000. As shocking as these statistics are they are generally treated as nothing more than numbers - health stats to be looked at curiously without any connection to the humanity represented.

Operation Rescue/Operation Save America is calling our brothers and sisters in Christ to understand that there is a cry echoing throughout our city. It is a cry that joins a louder chorus heard across the expanse of the United States. Not all hear this mournful cry. In fact the one entity ordained of God to effectively meet the need presented by this cry seems unable to interpret the sound and act with the passion and zeal required. Yet the cry echoes forth throughout heaven. It is heard by Jesus, our Lord, who said, "As you do it to the least of these you do it unto me… and as you do it not to the least of these you do it not unto me."

What is the sound that cries out to God, day and night in our city and in cities across the nation? It is the shout of the blood of the innocents slaughtered in our "legal" abortion chambers crying out to God for vengeance! This cry is made up of thousands of children who have lost their lives since 1973 in Dallas County abortion mills. They have been dismembered, disemboweled, scalded, and decapitated. The blood of the innocent aborted babies shouts aloud to God, asking the question, "How Long, Oh Lord?" Their blood defiles our city and feeds the demonic strongholds that oppose the churches' mission to win the culture. Their cry opposes the revival we all long for. Their blood is on our hands and calls for judgment to begin even at the house of God.

With the understanding and the knowledge that the killing of innocent children is America's national sin and is ushering the judgment of God upon our nation and our community, Operation Rescue/Operation Save America will be participating in a nationwide outreach this January 20th. It is called "Operation Establishing Blood Guilt." It is a call to Christians and the Church to own the sin of abortion and to bring forth fruits of repentance just as Daniel owned the sin of his nation in Daniel chapter 9. To accomplish this, the euphemisms and denial that cover the abortion holocaust in our city must be exposed. True repentance is not possible until the truth regarding the need of repentance is comprehended.

We will be bringing graphic signs that show an aborted child and a live child. We will hold these signs on public sidewalks outside our most evangelical and spirit-filled churches. Most of these churches are our supporting churches. They are our friends. This is precisely the reason we must go to them. These are the ones who will respond to God's call and repent.

The children who die in Dallas County abortion mills have few to intercede on their behalf or mourn their passing. We, the Church of Jesus Christ have the answer and solution to their need. What is required first is our repentance over the fact that this week and every week since January 22, 1973, unborn children will be and have been delivered over to death in relative obscurity. They are nameless and faceless victims killed with impunity in "legal" abortion chambers. Their plight is, more often than not, given no more than a passing concern in the American church.

With a firm resolve from the Scripture and reliance on the examples from church history, this Sunday morning, January 20th Operation Rescue/Operation Save America will begin this important outreach at Hillcrest Church. Operation Establishing Bloodguilt will continue once per month at different churches in Dallas County. We will be quiet and peaceful and will stand on public property. We will offer the enclosed literature to those attending your church. We have also enclosed a book, Their Blood Cries Out by Troy Newman and a tract, "Establishing Bloodguilt," for your perusal. P.S. There is an abortion mill one mile from your church, Aaron Women's Health Center, at 6546 LBJ Freeway (between Preston and Hillcrest). I'm certain that you are aware of this but 90% of your people are not. Please consider well, the sin dwelling in your own backyard! God will help you!

ESTABLISHING BLOODGUILT - The First Sunday

We have been receiving reports from all over the country of how the saints were received when they brought the message of bloodguilt to the very gates of our Lord's Church. We will get you updated in a later newsletter. This message was brought to the most evangelical, pro-life churches in our cities. It was brought in the hope that the Church of Jesus Christ would realize her responsibility to the pre-born and repent of her apathy and indolence toward the shedding of their innocent blood. It's time to become a true voice for the voiceless!

In Dallas we had approximately twenty-five gentle warriors join us as we brought the doctrine of bloodguilt to the church. We brought Scripture signs, pictures of Baby Malachi, and pictures of a live baby. They were big enough for all the world to see. We also passed out brochures made especially for this project by Life Dynamics entitled, "Jesus Loves the Little Children, Even When We Don't." Finally, we passed out the "Establishing Bloodguilt" tract for those who desired to know the biblical foundation and doctrine for the project.

On the brochures we placed the name and address of the abortion mill that was less than one mile from the church. When people asked us why we were there, we simply pointed to their own backyard and let them know that the busiest abortion mill in Dallas was right behind them. It had been there for six years. Most of the people were shocked that something so evil could be so close. They simply did not know.
The people of Hillcrest Church were very gracious. They brought us coffee and doughnuts. The membership of this church is in the thousands. They are strongly pro-life. They are involved in powerful evangelistic outreaches both at home and abroad. They support crisis pregnancy centers and, it was at Hillcrest Church where Miss Norma McCorvey (the Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade) made her first public confession for Christ.

Why would anyone go to this church to inspire her to do any more for the precious lives of pre-born baby boys and girls than she is already doing? We went because her hands, and ours are filled with blood (Isaiah 1:15). Until we come, as the people of God, to own and confess the fact that we are our brother's keeper and that we are responsible for the children being torn apart at abortion mills, the heart of God will not be moved. Where there is no repentance there will be no help from God. We will continue in the culture of death for 29 more years.

We love to quote II Chronicles 7:14, "…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." But we hate to think that it could possibly be us who must turn from our own "wicked ways." But how could God make it clearer? Signs, judgments, and prophetic warnings abound in America. Remember 9-11? Blood is coursing down the corridors of our schools, homes, work places, and streets. Because we have not hated bloodshed, bloodshed is now pursuing us. Ezekiel 35:6

It's so easy to point to Planned Parenthood, the abortionist, or the "pro-life" politician who doesn't stand by his promises. These are all fair game, but the real culprit in the abortion holocaust savaging America, is God's church. Yes, we are the only one's who can call upon God Himself to forgive our sin and bring healing to our land. It begins with our own repentance! We are the hope of bringing the sin of abortion to an end in America.

So, what will it be? Another 29 years of fruitless legislative maneuvering and political strategizing? Or will it be the Church of Jesus Christ falling upon her face in humble repentance before the Lord asking Him to have mercy for the shedding of innocent blood, and asking Him to heal our land? Which will you choose? The Church of Jesus Christ is the one entity on earth ordained by God to storm the gates of hell. When she does, they cannot prevail.

We go to the Church of Jesus Christ with the horrible truth of her involvement in the sin of abortion because we love her. We go because, if we don't, we will be betraying God, His children, and our call! "… 'When I bring the sword against a land … if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes the life of one of them … I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood." Ezekiel 33: 1-6.

ESTABLISHING BLOODGUILT - The Emancipation Proclamation

"New Emancipation Proclamation Declares Unborn Children Fully Human and Free - Calls America to Formal Repentance!" This front-page news story appeared in The Word, a local Christian newspaper in Buffalo, New York, in January. It came as the result of an interview with our own Bob Behn. It was written by Rick Kern:

"It peers from the shadows with the vigilance of a lioness watching over her cubs, and has all the subtlety of a thousand nails screaming across a chalkboard. It has ignited the fierce indignation of an atrophied conscience that would much rather snuggle deeper into its stiff, callous slumber than again feel the stabbing sorrow for its indifference.

"But snuggle as it will, the disturbing ring of truth reckons from the pages of a new Emancipation Proclamation echoing the silenced cries of 40 million stilled heartbeats. And they just may rouse the censored scruples of a morally withered America, stirring her sluggish church from the cozy pews where she lies nestled. Love it or hate it, agree or disagree with this latest "rescue," you've got to respect its agility as happiness may once again be apathy in our rearview mirror.

"It began last July in Wichita, when Operation Save America (OSA) coordinated a national event to inaugurate the document (drafted by its leadership). Some 2,000 believers gathered in a demonstration of support and solidarity with fifty ministers, pen in hand, who affirmed the declaration that "the lives of all children (born and unborn) are sacred to God and worthy of our defense." And that "…the unborn child shall now and forever more be set free to live in America. They shall be welcomed in life and protected by law." Enormously compelling ideals that reveal much about the brittle moral stature of the American people simply because they need to be articulated at all.

"The proclamation is said to have had a dramatic and sobering effect upon the citizens of Wichita and their elected officials. In fact, the city's mayor is alleged to be a professing Christian who declined the opportunity to publicly sign it.

"Wielding language deliberately designed to prevent people from continuing to use pro-life rhetoric while their actions (or inactions) reveal an involuntary pro-choice bias, it is not an easy document to sign. Those who do so execute a moral and spiritual instrument that effectively binds them as a matter of conscience. It mandates that they actively rescind their permission granted by default, for abortion to flourish as part of their community, and do all they can as individuals to both give life to their convictions, and protect it for the unborn.

"The proclamation is not intended to provoke a knee-jerk reaction to another costly pro-life fad, but rather squeeze the gray from a black and white issue that has been invaded and compromised by it. To sign on this dotted line demands some serious, thoughtful reflection that must eventuate in a sweeping personal commitment to stop the bloodshed sanctioned by a runaway judiciary, using every spiritual, moral, and legal dynamic available.

"Drawing inspiration from its precursor signed by Abraham Lincoln, it is hoped that this contemporary successor will draw the blessing of God much the same way many feel its ancestor did. Reverend Flip Benham, Director of OSA, commenting on the 1863 Emancipation Proclamation noted that, "For the first time in American history there was now open and public repentance of the national sin of slavery. It was a sin that plagued our nation through the years. It was a sin that would not go away and could not be politically resolved! It could only be repented of."

"Just as the 1863 document struck a blow against the suppression of truth in unrighteousness, officially proclaiming the reality that blacks are fully human and free, so does its progressive counterpart strike the same blow against the same suppression of truth, proclaiming the unborn as fully human and free. As such, this currently maligned group of Americans (marginalized as sub-human since 1973), should be entitled to the same rights, privileges and protections under our laws and Constitution as every other citizen. Unfortunately it is safer to be an unborn eagle than an unborn baby in these United States. And with butchering them beneath the polite (and casually abused) banner of "freedom" evolving into a very lucrative, though disgraceful American enterprise, it is clear that in this land where "all men are created equal," some are more equal than others.

"The new Emancipation Proclamation is intended to be offered to numerous cities throughout the nation this year, and will make its formal debut in Western New York, in the near future. Incredibly, it is scheduled for presentation to President George W. Bush for his signature by a Congressional Representative from Kansas sometime in January 2003.

"While the implications of the most powerful and influential man in the natural world publicly endorsing such a document lends itself to considerable speculation, the only foreseeable fallout appears to be political. The moral and spiritual ramifications are painfully clear for the personhood of the unborn is a biblical given, with plenty of science riding on its coattails. It rises as a living indictment pointing 40 million fingers, lifting 40 million voices, and weeping rivers upon rivers of tears flowing into oceans of innocent blood.

"Accordingly, the benefit, impact, and sheer moral momentum of the President's humility by formally establishing the full humanity of the unborn, coupled with his acknowledgement of the national sin of abortion before God, could not be overstated. Again echoing Benham's allusions, this is a national sin and, consequently, a spiritual problem first and foremost. As such, it cannot be politically resolved until it is repented of.

"The real question is whether the President possesses the love of truth, spiritual stature, and moral courage to blow off the political risks and govern as a statesman, a servant of the American people. Especially his most vulnerable constituency."

ESTABLISHING BLOODGUILT - The National Event, Dallas, Texas, July 13-21, 2002

The greatest preaching, the greatest praying, the greatest praising, the greatest teaching you will ever hear is going to take place right on the streets of the city of Dallas this summer.
