The Abortion Holocaust Remembered - January 22, 2004
31 Years of Unabated Child Killing

Sometimes it is very difficult for us to comprehend the magnitude of the toll that the abortion holocaust has taken over the past 31 years. When one says that over 45 million children have been slaughtered by legalized abortion since January 22, 1973, the numbers just don't seem to register.

On the next page is a map of the United States of America indicating the number of states that would have their populations totally wiped out if war were to come to our shores and 45 million people were killed.

If this shocks you, perhaps you might want to rethink who the real “terrorists” are. We are being destroyed as a nation by an enemy from within. We are being destroyed by a lie that was birthed in the very pit of hell.

The lie took its physical form in the Roe v. Wade decision issued by the Supreme Court of the United States of America on January 22, 1973. Yes, the Supreme Court in its malevolent wisdom magically found in the United States Constitution a “woman's right to privacy” (she could kill her own child in the womb if she so chose).

Never mind that for more than 300 years our Pilgrim forefathers, Founding Fathers, past Presidents, legislators, and Supreme Court justices had never dreamed of such a malicious precedent. Today, the lie has become law. It is a lie that transcends every racial, ethnic, political, and geographic boundary. It is a lie that cuts across every human heart in America . It is a lie that divides us (red states verses blue states). It is a lie that is destroying us.

Abortion reveals, better than any single issue, the devastation of this lie and what its true identity is. Abortion shows us that the real battle in our nation is spiritual, and therefore can never be resolved politically. It is the ancient battle that began in heaven and moved to this earth. It has swept across the pages of the Bible and history ever since. It is a battle between two world views - the seed of the serpent vs. the seed of the woman (read Genesis 3:15 ).

The seed of the serpent (the source of the lie) says something like this: “My rights, my body, my choice, my thing. I do what I want, whenever I want. I determine who lives and I determine who dies. Not the church, not the state – I determine my fate. My one and only commandment is, ‘Don't judge me!'”

The seed of the woman (the source of truth) says something like this: “Not my will, but Thine be done. I am not my own, I have been bought with a price. My body and my gifts do not belong to me, they have been given to me to serve others. I belong to Christ, and He alone determines who lives and who dies. He is my judge!”

The lie brings enslavement and death. The truth brings liberty and life. There is no middle ground!

THE ABORTED STATES OF AMERICA

The map above has 17 states blacked out. The population of these states is equal to the 45,000,000+ reported “legal” abortions since 1973.

Perhaps this visual will help demonstrate the magnitude of the slaughter. The lie has wreaked its horrible devastation and is destroying America. This lie can only be overcome by the Truth. The Truth has but one name, Jesus Christ! “They overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Revelation 12:11. Ours is a call to the Church to storm the gates of hell!

Abortion will come to an end in America when the Church of Jesus Christ makes up her mind it will come to an end!

Massive “God is Going Back to School” Campaign Planned for May 3-7, 2004

If you have been sickened, as we have been, by the expulsion of God from our public schools and His removal from the public square, then let's do more in 2004. Let's push out into the deep water and bring Him back to school, and back into the public arena – Ten Commandments and all! This will never happen at the political level – at least not now. But it can happen if a few moms and dads, pastors, students, and teachers join the Second American Revolution to turn our nation right-side-up again, in the Name of Jesus. We can do this, Church of the Living God!

Let's move on the offensive and “storm the gates of hell” this year, rather than waiting for them to “blob-like” consume us. It is time for the Church of Jesus Christ in America to begin living up to her rich heritage. It is time for us to not just pray about what we are supposed to do, but to act upon what we already know to do! Our Lord Jesus is calling us to action! It is time for the Word of God to become flesh through foolish little instruments like you and me.

Below is a little New Year's poem sent to us by Mike Warren in Rochester , New York – God is calling us out!

“Disturb us, 0 Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves; when our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little; when we have ar­rived in safety because we sailed close to the shore. Disturb us, 0 Lord, when with the abundance of things which we possess, we have lost our thirst for the water of life; when having fallen in love with time, we have ceased to dream of eternity; and, in our efforts to build the new earth, have allowed our vision of the new Heaven to grow dim. Stir us, 0 Lord, to dream and dare more boldly, to venture on the wider seas where storms shall show Thy mastery, where losing sight of land we shall find the stars. In the name of Him, who has pushed back the horizons of our hopes and invited the brave to follow Him?" (Author Unknown)

On May 3-7, we will be mounting a massive "God is Going Back to School" campaign.  During this time, we will be asking teachers to pin a copy of the Ten Commandments on their bulletin boards.  We will have them pray with their students before the start of school – a simple prayer for parents, teachers, and their nation. We will also ask them to bring their Bibles and read from them at appropriate times.

We will ask Christian students to bring their Bibles to school, read them, and pray before they have lunch.  For five consecutive days we will be coming to these great gates of hell (the public school) to pass out literature that will deal with five specific topics, one for each day: 

Monday, May 3, literature regarding the Christian worldview – “The Battle between the World and Christ”;

Tuesday, May 4, literature regarding abortion (graphic pictures to be shown) – “ The Truth vs the Lie”;

Wednesday, May 5, literature regarding false religions – “Do All Religions Worship the Same God?”;

Thursday, May 6, literature regarding homosexuality – “Homosexuality vs Christianity”; and

Friday, May 7, literature regarding violence in America –“Why are Kids Killing Kids?”.

Then Friday evening, May 7, hold a rally at one of the local churches for questions. Pizza is always a good idea!

Ask God for His direction as to which school you should choose. Then go! Don't worry about all of the impossibilities – just go! Jesus is already there, and He will be your help and source of strength. As your theology becomes biography at the gates of hell, the gates will not prevail!

We suggest that you gather one hour before school starts, to set up then pass out brochures. You can do it with five Christians unashamed of their faith and willing to stand for Christ. Then, come back when the school day ends to answer any questions students might have. You will be surprised at the questions. Do this all five days!

The school administration, teachers, students, and parents will be abuzz for weeks. You will find God opening so many doors to witness for Christ that you will wonder why you hadn't done it before. You will be building courage into the hearts of teachers and students who have wanted to stand for Jesus, but just didn't know how. Yes, you will be giving them a ready-made platform from which they can launch into a defense of the Gospel!

Let's give ‘em heaven at the gates. The Second American Revolution has begun!

The Walk Across America

In one of the greatest adventures God has ever called us to, Rusty Thomas and I will be walking across America with a donkey and a white horse. A coffin with an aborted baby will be harnessed to the back of the donkey. The Scriptural significance of this trip is mind boggling. It is a call to God's Church to repent of her apathy and indolence toward our Lord's pre-born children. It is also a call for America to return to her One True God – Jesus!

Remember, when Jesus rode into Jerusalem He came upon the foal of a donkey. When a king comes to a city riding on a donkey, he comes in peace. This was prophesied in Zechariah 9:9 , and it was fulfilled in Luke 19:35-44 . This signified the year of the Lord's favor (Luke 4:18 -19) . At this time mercy is freely dispensed to all who ask. Today is the day of salvation! Unfortunately, most in Jerusalem didn't recognize the year of the Lord's favor and received Him not. Jesus said, “The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you…. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you.” Luke 19:43-44. “Yet to all who received Him…He gave the right to become children of God….” John 1:12.

When Jesus comes again He will not be riding a donkey but a white horse. His robe will be dipped in blood and on His thigh will be written “King of Kings and Lord of Lords.” When He comes, He is coming as conqueror, king, and judge. There is no mercy or favor here – only judgment and condemnation. This was prophesied in Revelation 19: 11-16 . It signifies the day of vengeance of our God (Isaiah 61:2) . If we wait to meet Him when He comes riding on the white horse there will be no mercy for us – only the awful prospect of His judgment and condemnation.

Upon what animal would you like to meet Him? The white horse will be trailing about one mile behind the donkey. Do you see the prophetic significance? Is the picture clear? When words fail God speaks in living parables. Rusty and I will become that “living parable” to a church and to a nation that feel that God's delay in judgment for the shedding of innocent blood means His approval. “Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?” Romans 2:4.

Rusty's account of the vision for this impossible missions trip:

It all started with a corny movie called "Francis Covers The Big Town." (There may be some of you who still remember the series of movies about Francis, the talking mule.) In the opening scene, the actor Donald O'Conner is walking Francis into New York City . Don't ask me why, but as soon as I saw this opening scene, I was immediately challenged with the idea of walking across America with an aborted baby in order to cry out against the sin and crime of abortion and to call our nation to repentance. The wheels were turning as I slowly turned to my wife with that funny look that has in the past struck terror in her heart and confessed the hair-brained scheme. There was not a whole lot of response, so we turned back and continued to watch the movie.

I awoke to the most surreal morning I have ever known. Imagine my amazement, when I walked into my living room and there grazing in my backyard were one mule and six horses. I'm 47 years old and never in my life did I ever arise in the morning to behold such a sight. As I was trying to make sense of it, the white horse stopped grazing, stood up, and stared at me. It was then I decided, it was just a mere coincidence that I watched Francis the talking mule last night, received the idea about walking across America, and now there just happens to be a mule and six horses in my backyard the following morning.

After finding out who owned the animals and leading them off our property, our family sat down to do our family devotions. We, for several years now, have read through the Bible using the OSA Bible reading schedule. The passages scheduled on that particular day happened to be Zechariah 9-11. We were doing quite fine, until we came to Zechariah 9:9, which states, "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion ; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem : behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass." Wow! Biblical witness number one. Then came Zechariah 10:3, "Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the Lord of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah , and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle." Horse? Battle? Wow! Biblical witness number two. And then the Scripture that sealed it all in my mind, Zechariah 10:12, "And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord." Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses, let it be established (Deuteronomy 17:6 and Matthew 18:16).

Needless to say, after family devotions, the hair-brained scheme turned into "Thus saith the Lord." I immediately called Flip. As we were talking, Flip mentioned he wanted to let some of our leaders share on some of the inspired ideas that they have for the New Year. My response was that it was interesting he should say that and proceeded to share with him what I thought was the mother of all inspired ideas. Expecting Flip to be somewhat skeptical, he instead shared with me a message God had given him from the same passages of Scripture in Zechariah.

The essence of the prophetic message was this, " America, when the King rides a donkey, He comes in peace, but when the King rides a white horse, He comes to make war and bring judgment. Repent America, and prepare to meet thy God!" Suddenly, all the pieces fell together, the idea for the walk, the horse, the donkey, the aborted baby, and a couple of knuckleheads that were willing to be fools for Christ to deliver God's prophetic word to America. The demand and sacrifice upon us and our families to fulfill this mission is beyond our comprehension. We only know that God has given us this task and we are in the process of setting our faces like flint towards this great undertaking. Remember the dwarf Gimli in The Return of the King : “Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for?” That is the question of the hour. Seriously, what are we waiting for?
