July 16, 2001 Judge Grants Victory to Gentle Christians Federal judge Martin granted Operation Save America permission to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the streets in Wichita. The city had originally denied parade permits for the Summer of Mercy event. Judge Martin ruled in favor of the Gospel in spite of a "friend of the court " brief filed by the local Federal Attorney and the US Civil Rights Commission. Operation Save America is pleased with the Judge's decision but disappointed that "pro-life" Attorney General Ashcroft would attempt to censor the Gospel in the streets. It was obvious to Judge Martin that gentle Christians parading and singing in the streets would not violate the federal FACE statute, as the federal attorney claimed. It is sad that our Attorney General would join hands with those of the "village" who would seek to kill innocent children. It takes a village, and perhaps even a nation, to kill a child.
