THE ABORTION INDUSTRY AND CLAYTON LEE WAAGNER
Statement by Rev. Flip Benham, National Director of Operation Rescue and Operation Save America, November 30, 2001. After scurrilous attacks by abortion industry spin machine.
More than anything else, Clayton Lee Waagner, the self-proclaimed "abortion avenger," is an invention of his own warped mind, with the willing help of the abortion industry and its spin machine. The two are, hand in glove, perpetrating one of the most heinous hoaxes in American history. The sad thing is, they are using the catastrophic events of 9-11-01 to elicit even more sympathy for their cause. Believe it or not the abortion industry and Waagner are in cahoots!
The abortion industry, ever vigilant to keep our eyes off of what it does (brutalizing and killing innocent American baby boys and girls), has found a new friend in Clayton Waagner. Yes, Waagner has become for the abortion industry what Ken Starr became for Bill Clinton - a whipping boy to keep our eyes off of the real crime being committed!
None of us in the pro-life movement had ever heard of Mr. Waagner before his escape from a Clinton, Illinois jail this February. It wasn't until then that he made his, now infamous, threats to kill abortionists and abortion mill employees. The abortion industry spin machine jumped on Waagner's bandwagon, finding it difficult to hide its glee. It used him to paint, with a broad brush, every Christian who ever stood for life, as a wild-eyed lunatic bent on shooting abortionists and blowing up abortion mills. Yes, Clayton Waagner has become the abortion industry's greatest ally.
But where did anyone ever get the idea that Waagner was a pro-life, Christian activist? The abortion industry spin machine - that's where! After 9-11-01 we were treated to claims that abortion industry employees had been suffering under Christian Jihad type terrorism for years. What tripe!
The abortion industry and Clayton Lee Waagner have successfully turned the eyes of America from the brutal slaughter of her children to the tarring and feathering of those gentle Christians seeking to save them. It is the most heinous hoax in American history.
