Statement concerning sniper(s) shootings by Rev Flip Benham, National Director of Operation Rescue/Operation Save America, given to pastors in Wichita, Kansas, October 24, 2002.

BLOODSHED IS PURSUING AMERICA - WE ARE POWERLESS TO STOP IT!

"I also gave them over to statutes that were not good and laws they could not live by; I let them become defiled by their gifts - the sacrifice of every first born - that I might fill them with horror so they would know that I am the Lord." Ezekiel 20:25-26.

Unjust laws, pitiful statutes, and now bloodshed filling the streets near our nation's capital. We, in America, are being filled with horror by God Himself. We have cheapened God-given life in the womb, and now it is being cheapened in the streets. Over 45 million children slaughtered by "legal" abortion in this nation. Their innocent blood is crying out to God. The accounting has come!

"…No one could go about his business safely because of his enemy, for I had turned every man against his neighbor." Zechariah 8:10. Sound familiar? It is America today! Bloodshed is coursing down the corridors of our schools, workplaces, and streets and we are helpless to do anything about it. Police departments, armies, and our government cannot stop it. We have sown bloodshed in the womb and we are reaping its horrible harvest. God Himself is filling us with horror!

Airplanes crashing into buildings, kids killing kids in our nation's schools, sky-rocketing suicide and homicide rates simply have not captured our attention. Perhaps now, sniper(s) killing people at a whim in the streets will capture our attention. God is filling us with horror!

Yesterday, we heard from the sniper(s) that our children "are not safe any place at any time." Children in the womb in America have experienced that threat for the past thirty years of Roe v. Wade. "…since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you." Ezekiel 35:6.

Bloodshed is pursuing us because we have sown bloodshed in the womb. We cannot continue to kill children in the womb and expect Almighty God to stop the bloodshed in our streets. That is absurd! God cannot be mocked, "…whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
