GIVING A VOICE TO TERRI SCHIAVO

PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 15, 2003

GIVING A VOICE TO TERRI SCHIAVO

“We are calling Christians to join with our Lord Jesus in giving a voice to the voiceless Terri Schiavo,” said Rev. Flip Benham, National Director of Operation Rescue/Operation Save America.

Her life is precious to God and it is precious to us. It appears that in America today, our solution to just about everything is murder.

  1. World getting too populated? Abort the young in the womb.
  2. Looking to cure Down syndrome? Find the Down syndrome child in the womb and kill it.
  3. Getting too old to enjoy a quality life? Euthanize the old.
  4. Fellow workers giving you trouble? Walk into work and "blow them all away."
  5. Kids making fun of you in school? Spill their blood in the hallways of the school.
  6. Tired of life? Suicide.
  7. Infirm and not able to feed one’s self like Terri? “Legalized” starvation to death.

Yes, murder has become the answer for everything in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Today, the courts of this land are ratcheting murder up several notches by "legally" allowing Terri Schiavo, a “useless eater” in the eyes of the court, to be starved to death in Clearwater, Florida. Terri is not on any machine. Because she is unable to swallow, she needs the assistance of a feeding tube. This will now be denied her.

Although Terri's parents long to care for their child, the court has decided that Terri must die. This is an abomination before Almighty God. The Church of Jesus Christ must rise up and come to Terri's aid. We are on our way, Terri!

Martin Niemoeller, a witness to the Nazi holocaust, a clergyman, and a prisoner in the concentration camps during World War II, spoke these words: "The great majority of Europeans during the period of the holocaust were neither killers nor victims...most merely stood by, neither collaborating nor coming to the aid of victims. This passivity amounted to acquiescence, and the planners and executors of the "final solution" counted on the bystanders not intervening."

We must not sit idly by and watch Terri die. We are our sister’s keeper.
