The Catholic Bishops are coming to Dallas for their annual meeting. There is only one topic that needs to be discussed. The real issue is Priests (fathers) abusing children under their patriarchal care and using them as sexual toys to satisfy their own homosexual fantasies and lusts. The Catholic Bishops, of course, have known about this homosexual abuse for years. Catholic seminaries have long been a breeding ground for this kind of behavior.

The Bishops have spent millions of dollars in hush money to buy the silence of teenage boys who have been victimized by these homosexual bullies. These priests, pathetic fathers all, have then been quietly, ever so quietly, moved to another parish where they could continue feasting on other boys.

Sweeping the sin of homosexuality under the rug has not only been the sin of the Catholic hierarchy, it has become the absolute mission of national and local media! If you want to witness a well-spun cover-up, watch the media coverage of the Bishops Conference this week. The sin of the Catholic Church, as far as the media is concerned, and the only one allowed on air, is that of pedophilia and its subsequent cover-up. There will not be a mention of the sin of homosexuality. That is, of course, unless the bombastic Fred Phelps comes out with his "God hates fags" signs.

The media is more than happy to do a major cover story on Mr. Phelps. It can use him to paint every Christian into a hate-filled, bigoted corner from which there is no escape. Phelps will be allowed to pontificate his brand of "hate" and will be used as the poster child for the Church of Jesus Christ. Yes, the media will play Mr. Phelps like a fiddle to spin its tune about intolerant, homophobic Christians.

While clamoring for the Catholic Church to come clean, the media is covering-up the real sin. It will not allow the Bishops to repent of the sin of homosexuality and its cover-up because it is certain that homosexuality is not a sin. One needs to remember that, by a large majority, the victims of predator priests were not prepubescent children, but young teenage boys. That is male on male. If that is not homosexuality, what is it?

This ubiquitous form of censorship by the press is a cover-up far more insidious than the one the Catholic Church is involved in because it is legitimizing the very behavior that victimized these teenage boys. Homosexuality is a sin that destroys those who practice it and a nation that approves of that behavior. The media itself, while rightly pointing out the hypocrisy of the Catholic Bishops, has become the biggest hypocrite of all.
