Abortion providers are scrambling for support and sympathy and their careers. Psalms 10:17-18 “You hear, O Lord, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.” Hell is hemorrhaging and the abortion industry doesn't have enough fingers to shore up the holes as it continues on a downward spiral. The hearts and minds of Americans are changing and Big Brother is finally getting it. Abortion is searing the minds and consciences with the truth of what it really is. Abortion was based on a lie and that lie is being exposed to the light by gentle Christians on the streets and in the media. The truth concerning the sacredness and value of life, and the pain and personal suffering of abortion, is exposing the cracked foundation on which abortion was built. Planned Parenthood of St. Louis held a rally to protest the recent passage of the South Dakota bill banning abortion at the Old Courthouse in St. Louis Thursday afternoon.
A small remnant Mia, Daniel and Ed, brought the truth to the streets as they held the graphic signs in the pouring rain. Gentle Christians showed the city of St. Louis what Planned Parenthood believes in. The pictures of Baby Malachi, a partial-birth abortion, and a picture of Jesus holding an aborted baby in His palm stating, “Abortion Kills His Children” grabbed the TV camera's attention. After standing over 30 minutes on the same courthouse steps where the infamous Dred Scott decision was decided, government park rangers asked us to leave. We picked up the proclaiming line and stood directly across the street as the anti-life numbers swelled to approximately twenty-five . “Not the church, not the state, women must decide their fate,” chanted pro-choice supporters. As the Planned Parenthood supporters shouted, “2-4-6-8 Roe v. Wade is here to stay,” we shouted, “Hey hey, ho ho, Roe v. Wade has got to go.” Once again King Jesus triumphed over the culture of death. Missouri has enacted a lot of pro-life legislation and is enforcing those laws which include parental consent and a 24 hour waiting period. They don't do late term abortion. On the downside is the fact that Illinois is willing, waiting, and able to help in the commission of the crime of murder. Hope Clinic in Granite City , Illinois has benefited highly as there are no restrictions and they specialize in late-term abortion. Hope Clinic is known as the baby-dumping capital of the Midwest. Just last week, Republican Missouri Senator Jason Crowell introduced House Bill 1786, a measure to prohibit abortions in Missouri. Senator Crowell's proposal has gotten a lukewarm reception from Governor Matt Blunt. Governor Blunt fears a legal battle. Even the Missouri Right to Life says it is not the right time. So, thirty-three years is not long enough? When is the right time? How many more dead babies and wounded mothers? Missouri has now joined the ranks along with several other states that have abortion-bans pending. God is allowing us to see that abortion is never going to be won in D.C. It's not a political issue, it's a gospel issue. He showed us when President Bush signed the partial-birth abortion ban into effect in the fall of 2003 and not one baby has been spared from that barbaric procedure. President Bush stated at the signing that “I don't think the culture has changed to the extent that the American people or the Congress would totally ban abortion.” But the tide is turning and modern technology continues to be on a collision course with the abortion industry. And I think God is ready. “Not one more hoof be left behind,” Moses said to Pharaoh. Yes, the battle for little American boys and girls is being won. When gentle Christian warriors make their theology biography in the streets, the gates of hell cannot prevail. Be encouraged, Angela
