Your article is full of unsubstantiated accusations and outright lies. In your article, without interviewing anyone or investigating anything, you blatantly called us or accused us of, but not limited to the following: "yelling at high school kids, tense confrontations, hollering, harassing, threatening, shoving photos, making students take the handouts, affirming our piety, coercion, selfish demonstration... Amazing that someone could determine all this from a 4 sentence e-mail. None of the aforementioned is true. None. The only students who took our information were the ones who were willing to receive it. In fact, some of the students did not want the information and simply walked on by. We simply do the same thing publicly that we do in our services. We preach the Word of God, we give out information (to those willing to receive it), we pray for them and with them, we worship. Mr. McCormick, Pr. 6:16 , “God hates the hands that shed innocent blood.” There is never a justifiable reason to take an innocent persons life. The child sacrificing of Tiller mutilates approximately 100-150 baby boys and girls every week. He then burns their little hands, arms, skull…in his on site incinerator. You stated that you were ‘concerned' for the high schoolers, yet not one word of concern for these mutilated children. Concern for one status of children at the expense of another is prejudice…is hypocrisy. Mr. McCormick, you did well machine gunning the messengers and ignoring the message. Pastor Mark E. Holick Spirit One Christian Center To: letters@wichitaeagle.com I am a member of Spirit One Christian Center. I write to you only because I am aware of the horror and offense that follows the showing of a picture of an aborted baby. We hate to have to look at it ourselves, but how can we as a God fearing people continue to not see? Sure, we have heard stories about abortion, and saw some statistics, but who is looking at the body cut up in pieces disposed of like scraps from a butcher shop? We hear the political debates, and the arguments even in this city over who's wrong concerning abortion, but did anybody see the baby? As our education system strives to reduce rates of teenage pregnancy, and presumptuous boys and incestuous old men continue to say "oops", we want to know "did any one see the baby?" God saw the baby. We can no longer pretend as if we didn't see it too ... it's my child, it's your child, it's my mother, it's my father, it's me, it's you! Did anybody see the baby? Signed Someone who saw the baby! Steve Owens |
