STATEMENT FROM PRO-LIFE MS'S PRESIDENT Tonya Britton

Ms Tonya Britton, President of Pro-Life Mississippi, has been taking a beating from friend and foe alike because of her willingness to stand for Jesus, his preborn children, and us. What a great woman of God! When everybody else is fleeing, she is running to the roar. May her tribe increase!!!!!!

STATEMENT FROM PRO-LIFE MS'S PRESIDENT
Tonya Britton

Pro-life Mississippi is committed to seeing abortion end in our state. Operation Save America came to Mississippi with a very aggressive campaign to SHOW people in the state what abortion looks like.  The graphic photographs of mutilated, sometimes decapitated children, tortured and killed by abortion are indeed gruesome.  These photographs evoke strong responses in everyone who sees them.  I am sure that the tortured body of Jesus as he hung on the cross was even more gruesome because he was not just a man, but God.  I am also sure that the wearing of a cross or crucifix horrified the early Church of Jesus Christ as well.

If we cannot convince our brothers and sisters of the humanity of the unborn child after implantation in the womb and their gruesome inhumane torture and death by abortion, how are we to convince them of the humanity of the embryo as it sits in a Petri dish awaiting destruction for the harvesting of his/her stem cells?

There is no way to "sugar coat" abortion.  There is no way to soften the reality of abortion.  What are we to do?  Provide half truths to our brothers and sisters as they perish for lack of knowledge? OR do we provide the uncompromised truth (always in love) and accept that this is what Jesus would do?

Is there an appropriate time or place to show the photographs as described above?  I answer that with another question.  Is there ever a time when we must compromise the truth?  We must be challenged to a higher standard or we will never ascend to a higher level.

Where are you getting your information - from the newspaper?  Do you trust the newspaper?  Have you been to any of the OSA activities to see for yourself what is happening?

An aside:  We have seen an almost 50% rejection of abortion by the women and /or men who have approached the abortion clinic this week either for an abortion or abortion counseling.
