Christianity Out of the Closet in Cleveland

On Friday, June 16, Scott and Kathy Heldreth joined the Pro-life community in Cleveland, Ohio to bring the theology of the church house out into the streets of Cleveland. Something very special always happens when the Word of God becomes flesh. Tom Raddell and the saints in Cleveland set up their very graphic “Injustice For All” display in the city square. 

This particular display, which will be with us in Jackson, Mississippi, exposes the horrible truth of what abortion really is and what it really does.

It was a powerful time of ministry as families and local church members handed out literature and engaged in one on one conversations with people passing by.  As the public proclamation went forth over the sound system two post abortive women were touched by what was being preached and were ministered to. 

The next stop was the gay pride parade in Cleveland on Saturday morning, June 17, 2006. When Christians come out of the closet to confront those parading their sin like Sodom – Katy bar the door! All hell breaks loose and all heaven comes down!

As the gay pride flag flew proudly on top of City Hall in Cleveland the sodomites paraded their sin in the streets for all to see and pay obeisance to. The Bible states very clearly that, “The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men.”  Palm 12:8.

Christians were set up along the parade route eager to share the truth of God's Word.  This year's event was bigger and more vile than ever. The hostility toward Christians who shared the truth that homosexuality is a sin that destroys those who practice it, was ramped up ten-fold. This should come as no surprise. When a nation decriminalizes one behavior it must necessarily criminalize another. Before our very eyes we are witnessing the systematic criminalization of true Christianity. If you don't think so, maybe you ought to look at the picture above again.

Christians were yelled at, spit upon, jostled, and speaker cords were pulled out of the sound system, all under the watchful eye of the Cleveland Police Department. Police would not dare enter into this neighborhood, but the Christians did not waiver and continued to give the truth in love. What their eyes saw was absolutely astounding

This year's parade included a school bus promoting the “Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network” (GLSEN). You no longer have to wonder about the radical homosexual agenda infiltrating your child's school- it already has! The homosexual community wants your children's minds and bodies – make no mistake about it! The National Education Association (NEA) will be including gay marriage into all its curriculae at this year's national convention in July. If you don't think what I am saying to you is true, just look again at the picture above. All under the umbrella of our government

When the sodomite band saw our banner that read, “They parade their sin like Sodom, they do not hide it…they have brought disaster upon themselves.” Isaiah 3:9. They literally stopped

the parade, turned to the Christians, dropped to their knees, and serenaded them.

Despite these attempts to mock & blatantly display their sin, the preachers of the Gospel of Christ shared the love Jesus has for each one of them. He is the only One who can liberate them from the homosexual lust that enslaves them. They are not free and they know it. Only Jesus can set the captive free!

Pray for us brothers and sisters for we are on our way to Atlanta this weekend to confront “Atlanta Pride” with the claims of Christ. We go in the boldness of the Holy Spirit but with our faces low to the ground. We have such wonderful news for those lost in their sin. But before this good news can be received, the bad news must be made known.
