Eye Opening News From Charlotte

Eye Opening News From Charlotte

All of this because the abortion industry in Charlotte knows you are coming to town July 12-20, 2003. Hallelujah!

This is a letter from Dr. Matthew P. Harrison, who is one of the obgyn's who is coming to the abortion mill with us. On February 15, 2003 he had an opportunity, along with Dr. Danny Holland, to meet Ron Fitzsimmons, the Director of the National Coalition of Abortion Providers (NCAP). Ron is in charge of representing the desires of hundreds of abortionists, presently killing children in America, to our legislators in Washington, D.C.

He had come to Charlotte, ostensibly to set up a meeting for me to meet and chat with Debby Walsh the director of one of the mills here in Charlotte. The real reason for his visit, however, was that the mills in Charlotte know that Christians are beginning to come out from the caves where they have been hiding and allow the theology of the Church house to become biography in the streets. The abortion industry in Charlotte is quaking over the fact that gentle Christians are returning to the streets.

Dr. Matt's report of this meeting and what transpired is truly eye-opening.

February 16, 2003

To all of the prayer warriors,

May the peace of Christ be with you and your families. Thank you for your powerful prayers, especially on Saturday, February 15, 2003. I do not know many of you that prayed for our safety and effectiveness when we went to the abortion mill, but I know that "…His ears were attentive to their prayers" (Psalm 34:15). Many thoughts have gone through my mind since yesterday, and I wanted to pass along some of these so that you can understand some of the horrible acts that mankind is doing and some of the wonderful things that God is accomplishing!

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows." (II Corinthians 1:3-5)

We, above all, thank God for His patience for our land and race. We thank Him for each of the little lives that He has entrusted to us, and as I witnessed women entering this clinic of death and sorrow, I especially thanked the Lord for the new life that Kat carries. What a privilege that He has given us to participate in the creation of another soul for Him. God is generous as we fill our quiver with arrows that will pierce the Evil One in the spiritual battle that we fight on a daily basis.

"…punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me…"(Exodus 20:5b)

Pray for a young lady named Lindsay. We met her at the abortion mill this weekend, as she has been working as a "deathscort" and assisting with abortions for awhile now and she is only 18 or 19 years old. When Dr. Holland asked her how she could put her head down on her pillow at night after participating in those acts and seeing those arms and legs and baby parts, she shrugged her shoulders and said, "Yeah, it's gross to see that stuff, but it's like if someone took an appendix out and laid it on a table, it would be yucky, but I've gotten used to it, and I'm o.k. with it. I've participated in abortions at 22 weeks, even up to 26 weeks, and I'm o.k. with it. You know, it's kinda like if you have a horse with a broken leg, you have to shoot it, it's sad but it's part of life." Lindsay went on to clarify that she felt that horses had souls and that the mother is the best person to decide whether her baby should live or not. I asked her, "Linsday, how would you like it if your mother came up to you one day and said, 'I think you are going to have a tough life ahead of you and it would be best if you were dead,' and then she killed you?" Little did I realize at the time that Lindsay's mother was standing right beside me when I said this, she is the owner of one of the mills that kills the babies here Charlotte. Pray for this young child of God who has no influences around her except those that seek death. The sins of her parents are continuing in her and she will be held accountable for the deaths of these innocents.

"The man who says, "I know Him," but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him."(I John 2:4)

Probably the most disturbing revelations this past Saturday occurred while meeting the owner of the mill, Debbie. Her interpretation of God's will was truly disturbing. Let me try to encapsulate her beliefs as they were expressed to me. She said that she turns away many women and girls from having abortions when she does not feel that they understand the magnitude of what they were doing. She contests that her patients go through a rigorous screening method which involves repeated questioning, counseling, and assessment of maturity before she will allow them to get an abortion. She says that Planned Parenthood and NOW hate her because she does not give access to abortion easily enough to women. Once a woman understands that this is a living creature inside of her and that "giving this angel back up to God" (hands going up in a lifting motion towards the sky), is the best thing to do, then she allows the abortion to take place. A shiver ran down my spine as she admitted to Dr. Holland and I that "killing happens here." She sees herself as a spiritual person and she trusts the individual's relationship with their God as they decide to kill their baby. She says that she shows them the ultrasound, the face, the hands, then after the abortion "counsels" the women because "their loss is like the loss of a miscarriage." When I used the term "murder" to describe her work, she interrupted, saying that they did not kill with malice. Since they do not hate the baby as they kill it, they are exempt from the sin of murder. I explained to her that an insane person can go into a store and shoot all of the people there without any malice, yet it would be murder, not because of his "feelings" as he slayed them, rather because of their innocence as they were killed. Her slaughter of innocent life does make her guilty of murder, and she admits that she and the mothers are culpable for that blood. She admitted that they get very little, if any, money for pregnancy testing, contraception, counseling, and ultrasounds. So their main source of income must be from abortions, and I doubt that she runs off too many opportunities to "make a sale" in the interest of women that do not understand what they are doing. This "counselor," who to my knowledge has no formal training except "years of experience," is extremely dangerous to young women as she mixes truth with lies, just as her master does, and confuses them with spirituality as she kills their children. Debbie professes that "life begins at conception, or before," yet she denies these little ones their God given and constitutional right to life. (Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.) I fear that she is committing unforgivable sin because her sins are blasphemy against the Holy Spirit as she claims spiritual guidance to kill these babies. (Matthew 12:32) I do not, however, put limitations on the power of the cross, and we should pray for her deliverance from the truly demonic powers that imprison her.

"See the Lord your God has given you the land. Go up and take possession of it as the Lord, the God of your fathers, told you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."(Deuteronomy 1:21)

Ron Fitzsimmons, the Executive Director of NCAP (National Coalition of Abortion Providers) contacted Flip Benham, Director of Operation Save America to speak about the current and pending protests against the abortion mills. I learned several things from talking with Mr. Fitzsimmons. Firstly, his main goal in coming to Charlotte was to discourage the protestors and try to convince them that their efforts were useless. He said "this movement is dead. People don't care anymore. People used to make chains and block clinics and get thrown in jail, it was all kind of fun when they were younger. But the people like Flip are getting too old for this. They don't want to go to jail. (If we protest and block clinics and go to jail, they call us "terrorists" and "crazy". If we don't, then they say we don't care and are not passionate. Do not believe the lies of the Deceiver.) And I come all the way down here from Washington and all I see is a few people standing out here. Demonstrations have never and will never close clinics." As always, pro-abortion people mix a little truth with a lot of lies. Yes, there were only a few demonstrators there, and the faithful few that were there made a difference. One visitor to the clinic, Luis, came to the clinic seeking prenatal care for he and his wife and they did not even know that something as barbaric as abortion was legal in America. Now they want to join Operation Save America, and help translate for the large number of Hispanic women that are in the area. Debbie, the owner of the clinic told me that if a lot of protestors had been out, she would not have even considered coming out to talk with us. God strategically uses even what appears to be a failure as a victory for Him. The following are a few of the victories that we were given simply because we were given the chance to talk with the NCAP director and the abortion mill owner.

  1. Debbie, the clinic owner, said that she would gladly refer women to us who would choose life instead of abortion, especially if finances were a problem because we can do the prenatal care and delivery for no charge and assist the women with financial assistance after birth. She has asked us to send her cards to give to the women so that they could follow up with us.
  2. Debbie also said that she would refer women to us that seek post abortion counseling for anxiety, depression, etc. Please pray that the Lord gives her the graces to keep her promises.
  3. Mr. Fitzsimmons, even though he knew many exact details of the abortion movement, statistics, etc. and boasted of NCAP's helpful website where women could go to seek intelligent information about abortion, said that he did not realize that the "religion and spirituality" section of their website only gave the viewpoints of pro-choice religions. When I pointed out to him that the Catholic doctrine on abortion (which is the largest Christian religion in the world and a major US religion) was conspicuously absent, he seemed surprised. I urged him that if he was truly pro-choice, then he should exhibit at least the major religious beliefs so that Catholic women who go to his website for guidance could read their own religion's view of abortion. He told me that he would personally make sure that it was added. Please pray that the Lord gives him the grace to keep this promise.
  4. I am convinced that this abortion clinic is about to close. Mr. Fitzsimmons would not travel all of the way from Washington D.C. just to chit chat, especially with the largest blizzard of the winter about to fall on Northern Virginia. He and Debbie Walsh urged us to go protest at other clinics that were not so discriminating as to which babies they would kill. It is amazing how quickly they turn on their own. Thankfully, the Lord has protected us from these lies and deceptions and if this clinic does not turn from evil and stop murdering the innocent, it too will surely close its doors. Please pray that God will change hearts and turn this facility into a clinic of life where women could get good prenatal care and counseling and choose life for their babies and themselves.

Thank you again for your prayers of support. I will end this letter with the blessing that we give to our children each night as they go to sleep.

"May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord's face radiate with joy and shine upon you. May the Lord be gracious unto you, show you His favor, and give you His peace." (Numbers 6: 24-26)
