Homosexuals Flaunt Their Sin

This past weekend in Charlotte, NC, thousands of homosexuals showed up to parade their lewdness in the public streets and parks of our city.

Charlotte police officers refused to protect the citizens from open displays of pornography in the public park. This was our vendor booth inside the homosexual festival. Christians gave away 100 Bible bags which included the complete Holy Bible, Gospel tracts and CD-Rom testimonies from former homosexuals. We also gave away free snacks.

The weekend called "Progress Thru Pride" was started off Friday night, April 30th, with a "commitment ceremony" in which 8 homosexual couples exchanged vows. Saturday, May 1st, was an all day homosexual display at Marshall Park, with an AIDS awareness parade, bands, booths, etc. Sunday, May 2nd, the homosexuals invaded Carowinds Amusement Park for "Gay Day."

Drag queens filled the public park and paraded their sin like Sodom. Both inside and outside the park, God gave us many divine appointments to witness, minister and pray with those trapped in homosexuality.

Several Christians from the local area showed up to share the Truth about what the Bible says about homosexuality. Friday night, signs that read "You can’t make a moral wrong into a civil right!", "You shall not lie with a man as one lies with a woman..." were displayed as Christians plead with the crowds to turn away from their sinful lifestyles. Saturday, Christians from the Charlotte area split into 3 different groups to strategize a plan to infiltrate the homosexual siesta, which included a "I have a gay pet" parade, a drag queen show, several different homosexual bands which spewed out hatred for morality and God, and several different speakers, including one who spoke about legalizing homosexual marriages. They had somewhere between 50-75 booths set up, with focuses on everything from "Hot Naked Men" (a pornography booth – which we asked the police why it wasn’t shut down, and they responded with, "I don’t know, I’m just here to keep the peace.") to MCC’s 3 booths, to sponsor booths…everyone from Fed Ex to Realty companies.

One group got a booth and handed out "Bible packs" from Stephen Bennett ministries and gave out free snacks. That booth was directly across from Charlotte MCC’s booth. That group was able to get involved in several individual discussions. Being as that the booth was set up right in the middle of hundreds of homosexuals, Christians were appalled to hear Christian worship music being played on radios around them. The group ended up running out of literature and videos, and closed down around 3 pm.
Another group separated into pairs and walked throughout the park, witnessing and passing out tracts.

The third group was restricted by the police to the outer sidewalks of the park. This group had a large banner that read "Sodomy Separates from Holy God." They spent the day preaching the Truth about homosexuality and sin. They received a lot of intimidation by the police, as well as anger from the homosexuals.

Both inside and outside the park, God gave us many divine appointments to witness, minister and pray with those trapped in homosexuality. Ante Pavkovic is one of several Christians who spoke with the press concerning this public display of sin.

There were about 60-65 Christians who showed up to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ on Saturday. Testimonies are still coming in about the opportunities different ones had to share the Gospel. A few Christians actually got to pray for some of the homosexuals.

We know the Bible says that the wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men. (Psalm 12:8) Please pray with us that God would open the eyes of these thousands to their wickedness and perversion!
