Kim flew into Connecticut on December 29th from Bradenton, Florida to be with the Reyes family for Christmas week and the New Year. They were at the Reyes home on Thursday when a phone call from John's dad harkened them to the beach to see a harbor seal. By the time they arrived at Anchor Beach in Woodmont, the seal was gone. They thought they would take a walk on the beach and the rocks because it was such a pleasant sunny day. It was warm for December in New England (in the 50's) and most of the snow was melted. While they were walking on the rocks a stranger approached them and asked if they were John and Kim. She said she had a gift for Kim as she presented her with a huge beautifully wrapped floral package. John and Kim went to the park bench and sat down to open the box. In it was a gorgeous scrapbook of birthday cards, memorabilia and American history facts for each year of Kim's life. Kim's birthday is in December and John had made this album for her. On the very last page, left hand side, it said "2004" THE YEAR JOHN ASKED KIM TO MARRY HIM. The right hand page had a floral card tied with a ribbon. Kim untied the bow and opened the card. Inside was a gorgeous diamond ring nestled in black velvet. John designed the ring and had it made especially for his sweetheart. The white gold antique style ring holds a princess cut diamond and two princess cut pink sapphires on the sides. As Kim read the card John got on his knee and asked her to be his wife. Needless to say, she answered "yes." An April 16th, 2005 wedding is planned. We give God all the glory for putting this OSA couple together. They have been courting for some time now and have kept a pure holy relationship to glorify our Lord. "Who so finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the Lord." Proverbs 18:22
