Liz Thomas Safely Home With King Jesus
Precious Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Liz's valiant fight is now at an end and she is in peace. I just received a phone call from Rusty at 12:45 am EST, August 4. Rusty shared with me that his precious wife Liz went home to be with the Lord at 11:35 pm CST, August 3rd, in the year of our Lord 2005.
Rusty said, "It was a tearing. It was a tearing, brother. 'That two shall become one has taken on a whole new meaning for me.' I didn't know what that meant until Liz went home to be with the Lord. She is really such a part of me. I love her. "
Just before Liz's home going, Rusty read Proverbs 31 over her. He recounted to me that each one of the kids, when they had seen their Mama, said to her; "I am rising up mom and I am calling you blessed." This was totally unrehearsed and something in the hearts of each one of her children. These words perfectly expressed the truth and the warmth of their love for such a wonderful mother.
In our bible reading schedule, we find these words from the book of Job, "Oh, that my words were written! Oh, that they were inscribed in a book! That they were engraved on a rock. With an iron pen and lead, forever! For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!" Job 19:23-27
For my sister in the Lord, Liz Thomas, "Goodnight for now, sweet sister, we'll see you in the morning."
