Many of you have called concerning a letter being distributed concerning Randall Terry. This letter is being endorsed by influential men of God. We feel it is important for you to know the truth. Randall has been used greatly by our Lord Jesus. We love him deeply. He is in trouble, but finances are the least of his worries. Let us all pray that he will return wholeheartedly to the One who dug Randall and each one of us out of the miry pit. Below is email communication between Steve Lefemine and Flip. It also includes the letter that is being distributed concerning Randall.

This is an email from Steve Lefemine:

Hi Flip,

Have you seen this letter going around by Alan Keyes trying to raise money for Randall Terry after everything was allegedly taken from him as a result of lawsuits? I would love to help out Randall. He gave many of us much, but if the former brother is still living in unrepentant adultery after having divorced his wife for unbiblical reasons, then I cannot in good conscience help him.

It's my understanding that he divorced Cindy for unbiblical reasons and then fairly soon thereafter married a younger woman. Is that not correct?

I received a hard-copy fundraising letter in the mail from Alan Keyes.
Included in the same envelope was a four page multi-picture spread with brief supporting comments from a few, including Terry Gensemer, Jim Cerbone III, Frank Pavone, and Bruce Moore. Have you seen this mailing yet? If not and you want to see it, I'll make a copy and send it to you.

Would you please correct me if I do not have my facts straight about Randall?

This is Flip's response:

Dear Steve,

Your facts are correct. For the life of me I cannot figure out why Alan Keyes would make such a fundraising effort to finance the sin of Randall Terry. Randall left his wife and his children for a young lady that worked on his congressional campaign.

Randall is in trouble financially, not because of all the things NOW and Planned Parenthood did to him, but because of his own sin. He has yet to admit or confess this truth. He has brought shame upon himself, his family, the pro-life movement, and the Church of Jesus Christ. It is not lawsuits that are bringing him down but the heavy hand of God Himself.

God desires Randall to return to Him.

Now, in order to do everything but repent, he is tugging on the heartstrings of gentle Christians to financially pull him out of the pit he finds himself in. To give Randall any financial aid whatever would be to enable him to continue doing what he is doing:

"...This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who take care of only themselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? You eat the curds, clothe yourselves with the wool, and slaughter the choice animals, but you do not take care of the flock. You have not strengthened the weak or healed the sick or bound up the injured. You have not brought back the strays or searched for the lost. You have ruled them harshly and brutally. So they were scattered because there was no shepherd, and when they were scattered they became food for the wild animals."
Ezekiel 34: 2-5.

Many of the lambs of Operation Rescue have suffered deeply after the fall and demise of a great prophet of God (Randall Terry). He has meant so much to me and my family as he faithfully delivered God's message into our hearts. He has meant so much to all of us here at Operation Rescue. Yet he is a man who is deeply fallen and absolutely unrepentant!

Bruce Moore has been an ardent and arrogant enabler of Randall Terry's sin.
With friends like Bruce it is doubtful that Randall will ever find his way to repentance. Our prayer is for Randall to return to Christ! We have no other prayer for him than this!

It is precisely because we love him that this response is issued.

Dear Pro-life Activist:

An outrage has occurred. And together, we need to right this wrong.

Randall Terry, the Founder of Operation Rescue, has lost everything
because of his work in rescuing babies from abortion. Abortion clinics,
Planned Parenthood, NOW, and the ACLU have been suing Randall in
court for over ten years. They finally won, and took everything Randall
owned.

It is our strong conviction that Randall has endured this prolonged conflict
not only on behalf of unborn babies, but also on behalf of the entire pro-life
community. And it is our strong belief that the pro-life community should
join together to replace what was "consumed by the locusts."

We want to restore what the enemy took, and help equip Randall for
the battles that lie ahead. In spite of everything he has endured, he is
still in the fight.

If you have appreciated and been inspired by Randall Terry's many years
of unselfish work for Christ and for the unborn, we encourage you to join
us in helping him rebuild his life.

Please make as generous a contribution as possible, would you? $25, $50, or
$1,000 if you can, and then show this letter to a pro-life friend and your church
and ask them if they would like to give to our fund too.

Randall has stood in the line of fire for years. Now let's stand up for

Dear pro-life friend:I have been one of Randall's attorney's over the past 4 years,
dealing specifically with the seizure of various assets and property. (I actually
became an attorney in part because of Randall's leadership in Operation Rescue.)

The outrageous fact is this: Planned Parenthood and The N.O.W. have easily
cost Randall the loss of over $200, 000. The home was sold, and Randall's equity
was given to those who sued him. Bank accounts were seized...they even took
his frequent flyer miles. This is a grave injustice, simply because of Randall's
peaceful pro-life work.

The danger or any further seizure of assets is now behind Randall, and anything
you give is safe from being taken by the Randall's political enemies. I hope that
you will give generously to help restore to Randall what the abortion movement
took.
