At 8:30 am OSA arrived at the Hebron abortion mill.  They were welcomed by a dozen police officers led by Sgt. Pam Lisenby and several deathscorts carrying signs declaring this “This Clinic Stays Open”.   It always amazes me to see the mill volunteers proudly holding their signs in support of abortion in the midsts of our signs exposing the horrific reality of abortion.  The disconnect is mind boggling.

There are interesting dynamics in play at the Hebron mill.  It is the only mill using deathscorts.  It is also the only place where the police shut down the sound system.  All other OSA street locations have the sound up and the saints are freely proclaiming the truth.  It appears as though Sgt. Pam Lisenby has an agenda to promote even if it means trampling the God given right to speak the truth.  She may be a public safety officer, but she has no concern for the safety of children scheduled to be brutally killed inside the mill.

While Dale Sochia led the praise music, police officers stood in the middle of the street measuring the decibels of Dale’s every word until they could catch a syllable that was too loud.  It is noteworthy to mention that the Hebron mill is not in a neighborhood.  Semi trucks frequently travel the road in front of the mill making so much noise that you cannot hear a person two feet from you talking.  Yet Dale’s music broke Sgt. Lisenby’s sound barrier.

Pro-lifers made a valiant effort to evangelize the deathscorts.  Some of them spending the entire morning talking to just one person about the saving grace of Jesus.  David Lackey held an umbrella over one woman for an hour or more, shielding her from the sun while he stood in the hot sun.

Deirdre Nash tried talked to a group of young women but they refused to listen.   To drown her out they talked between themselves of foolish things such as shaving as a form of personal hygiene.  On young pro-abort woman against shaving said she thought that removing the hair from underarms is unnatural, especially if you use chemicals.   One gentle Christian woman was shocked at the irony of the statement, but not one to miss the opportunity to witness asked, “Do you think that it is natural to invade a mother’s womb and violently tear her child’s limbs off”? she asked?

There was no answer, but I’m sure that they will not forget their encounter with Deidre.

Hebron abortion mill did not do much business today, but they did do some business.  We pray for the day that the personhood of the preborn child stops this senseless slaughter of the most innocent among us.
