Baby Joel

‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
Matthew 25:40

We as a nation have offended a Holy God by the shedding of innocent blood. Joel, the tiny person who we will morn today was murdered by the hands of the wicked through abortion. Joel although he is tiny is mighty as he reveals the horror of millions of babies whose lives have been snuffed out at the very onset of life.

We are seeing God’s judgment on our land and we are reaping the fruit of abortion, our national sin. Because we have shed innocent blood in the womb, blood is flowing in our streets, our economy is in shambles, our shores are polluted with oil, and we are experiencing a terror similar to the terror of the child being killed as terrorists infest our land. The only hope for the United States is Jesus.

“Even now,” declares the LORD, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Rend your heart and not your garments. Joel 2:12,13

Carmen witnessing to women entering Latrobe abortuary

When folks who had been in front of Charlotte’s infamous Latrobe abortion mill Tuesday preaching, praying, holding signs, and trusting God for miracles, later stopped at a nearby McDonald’s, they recognized a Latrobe customer with his little girl. Carmen Vazquez gently confronted the man (Joe), gave him literature and pled with him for the life of his babe in the womb. Under conviction, Joe began communicating by text with Brittany, the little girl’s and unborn baby’s mother. He called Brittany’s mother and his own mother. He wept. Then Brittany called Joe to tell she was 14 weeks instead of 12 weeks and needed an additional seventy dollars. He told her he didn’t have the money and couldn’t get it – Praise the Lord!! As he left he told Carmen, “I’m going to get her now.” Thank you, Jesus!! “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Ps. 127:3. We pray this little boy or girl will be a tremendous blessing to these parents and a mighty warrior for the Lord.

7.21.10: “We Serve a God Who Answers By Fire” by Rev. Rusty Thomas http://www.operationsaveamerica.org/charlotte/index.php/2010/07/22/7-21-10-we-serve-a-god-who-answers-by-fire-by-rev-rusty-thomas/ http://www.operationsaveamerica.org/charlotte/index.php/2010/07/22/7-21-10-we-serve-a-god-who-answers-by-fire-by-rev-rusty-thomas/#comments Thu, 22 Jul 2010 19:53:17 +0000 admin http://www.operationsaveamerica.org/charlotte/?p=264 “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, how long halt ye between two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, it is well spoken (1 Kings 18:21-24).

We have seen strange things in these days. As reported by Jo Scott:

Tuesday morning Pastor Wallace decided the Gospel would not be silenced. Shortly after the retired war veteran arrived at Hebron abortion mill, Pastor traded his cane for a ladder. As he stepped on the first rung of the ladder a troop of police officers crossed the street to arrest him. But this time the military man turned Pastor was ready for them. Pastor Wallace’s mission was to exercise his God Given right to rescue the innocent. And that is exactly what he did. When the police approached the ladder Ronnie Wallace was already in the tree above his ladder with his microphone in hand and he began to preach.

At 7:50 pm Pastor Wallace was still in the tree. The police were still waiting for him to come down when a power pole on the abortion mill property exploded and burst into flames. The three power lines on the pole were engulfed in fire. They are the lines that run underground into the mill. The fire department arrived for the second time today. They were more successful putting a raging electrical fire out than they were at getting Pastor Wallace out of the tree.

The Lord took what the world would consider a “foolish act” of a man of God and shut down the abortion mill by fire. The next day the saints showed up and there were the pro-aborts still holding their empty signs, which declared “This clinic is open.” Thankfully, this was false advertisement and no babies died at Hebron abortion mill.

Immediately, the saints took up their positions at the crippled gates of hell. We consecrated those bloody grounds to the Lord, sang the high praises of our God and entered into intimate worship. We then reminded the folks of a song that we first sang at our national event in Florida back in 1998. It is called “We serve a God who answers by fire.” In context, we had met with federal, state, and local police officials in Orlando on one condition. They must allow the showing of two films. One was called the Hard Truth, which reveals the horrors of abortion and the other exposed the debauchery of a “Gay Pride” parade.

After they all sat in silence to the point you could hear a pin drop, we were allowed to preach to them uninterrupted for 30 minutes. The text was based upon 2 Peter 2:6, which states, “And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly.” The essence of the message was God did not torch Sodom just based on the perverted sin of sodomy or because there were not enough righteous intercessors to convince God to spare the city. No, God’s word declared that He also did this to serve as an example to warn future generations and nations, “Don’t you dare descend into this wicked state or the same fiery judgment awaits you as was done to them.” Have we not seen a portion of these judgments in our days? We have a news flash, if we don’t repent, they will only increase with frequency and intensity.

After God’s “mail” was delivered to the law officials, the saints went to the different gates of the city of Orlando. Providentially, our theme song at every gate was “We serve a God who answers by fire.” At the end of the event, we gave the benediction and within five minutes the surrounding areas of Orlando burst into flames. It got so bad the police officials contacted us after we left and asked what should they do? The answer was to repent of defending child-killing and homosexuality and take down the homosexual flags that waved over their devastated city. Of course, they did not have the moral courage to meet God’s conditions, so the fire burned until the exact day they took down the flags.

After we shared this powerful testimony and tied it to the fire at the abortion mill in the city of Charlotte, Rev. Flip Benham preached from our opening text in 1 Kings Chapter 18. He challenged us that just as in the days of Elijah; a line is being drawn in the sand within our nation. God will not allow us anymore to “halt between two opinions.” If the Lord be God, serve Him, but if Baal be god serve him” and according to Peter Marshall, former chaplain for the United States, “and go to hell.”

We ended our outreach by demonstrating a living parable. We painted a picture for the pro-aborts that we pray will stay with them and eventually lead to their salvation. If we were to give it a name the parable would be called “Who owns the future?” With that, we had all the OSA families line up on one side of the street, while the single, lesbian protestors remained on their side of the street.

The distinction was acute. When they show up at the clinic with their tiny cars, within seconds they disembark. When we show up, we show up as families in 15 passenger vans. It takes a little bit more time to unload all of our children. In fact, the Thomas nation alone with 13 children outnumbered their entire group. The point being, their chosen lifestyle does not reproduce, plus, they spend their time making sure that abortion hinders reproduction in others. We, on the other hand believe the word of God, which states, “As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate (Psalm 127:4, 5).”

The word that went forth to them was simply this, “You cannot live with what you believe. Your own ideology, worldview, and philosophy of life will eventually cut you off. The only heritage that you will pass on is a legacy of death, while we on the other hand, will relay the foundations through our children to rebuild the culture of life.” Truly, the future belongs to the families that trust God, have a quiver full of children and raise them in the fear and admonishment of the Lord. To them it can be said, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”

Pro-life group protests against pro-life church

By Tom Roussey

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – For the second time in four days, a Concord-based pro-life group protested outside Central Church of God in Southeast Charlotte.

Although the church is also pro-life, members of Operation Save America say it isn’t doing enough to fight abortion, and that’s why they say they chose the public sidewalk outside the church for their protest.

Protestors held signs and also showed graphic pictures of aborted fetuses. WBTV felt the pictures were too graphic to show on television, but has put a link on this page for anyone that wants to see them unedited.

Central Church of God pastor Loran Livingston says he’s concerned folks who drove by on Sardis Road thought the church was sponsoring the protest. He says he doesn’t agree with Operation Save America’s methods.

“We are passionate about saving lives, and we are pro-life,” Livingston said. “But there has to be compassion. This group seems to be militant. It seems to be an angry organization.”

But members of Operation Save America say their method of showing pictures of aborted fetuses is effective at getting their point across.

“This must be seen,” said protest leader Rev. Rusty Lee Thomas. “This is a silent holocaust. Without these pictures, abortion is just a word that we debate, that we banter about. But this is the reality. This is what abortion does to innocent babies.”

Thomas said although Central Church of God is pro-life, he feels the church isn’t doing enough to fight abortion. He said the church should do more to protest nearby abortion clinics.

Pastor Livingston says what the group is really upset about is that his church won’t endorse Operation Save America’s methods. But he says the church is going about trying to prevent abortions the way it prefers.

“I am doing something,” he said. “But I’m trying to do it in a compassionate way that brings people to the love of God.”

One nearby resident drove into the church Wednesday night to tell protestors he didn’t think they should show their signs.

“I agree with [being] pro-life,” said Rob Mays. “However, these pictures are terrible for kids to see.”

Mays says his two young kids saw the pictures when he had driven by earlier.

Group members claim that this week a two year old girl saw the pictures, and her reaction caused her father to talk his girlfriend out of getting an abortion.

They say they see nothing wrong with showing them to folks of all ages.

“I have two grown up children — 26 and 24 — they grew up seeing these pictures, and all they want to do is help [stop abortion],” said protestor Wendee Brisart.

But Mays was not convinced by the argument.

“No kid should be seeing pictures like this,” he said. “We don’t show our kids this stuff on television, and they shouldn’t see it when they pass by the streets of our neighborhood.”

Operation Save America also protested outside of Central Church of God on Sunday. Although Wednesday night’s protest before the church’s prayer meeting was small, Livingston says on Sunday there were about a 150 protestors.

Rev. Flip Benham, the director of Operation Save America told the manager of the restaurant to contact the corporate offices and inform them the next time Christians show up to proclaim the Gospel, they will do so in a campaign very much along the same stream as Chick – Fil-A,  with cows!

Today the gentle saints gathered together at Chrick-Fil-A in Charlotte and were joined with three “cows” holding signs that resemble Chick-Fil-A signs but said “SAVE THE BABY HUMANS!”

Chick-Fil-A took down their signs against Operation Save America!

A little God-given creativity doesn’t hurt!

Anti-abortion protesters are causing traffic delays this morning on Interstate 77 in south Charlotte, authorities say.

The protesters arrived before 8 a.m. on the Remount Road overpass on I-77 and waved signs at motorists traveling below. A number of motorists who contacted the Observer said they called police to complain about the picketers, contending the protest could cause a wreck on the freeway.

The N.C. Department of Transportation put out an advisory a short time later, warning motorists to expect congestion on both sides of I-77 in the area.

The protesters are believed to be from Concord-based Operation Save America, which is holding its national conference in Charlotte this week. Members of the group waved signs Monday evening on the Graham Street overpass on Interstate 85. They also spent several hours Tuesday protesting at Trade and Tryon streets in the uptown area.

Organizers say they will continue to conduct anti-abortion protests at selected sites this week, including medical facilities that they say support abortions. They also plan some type of event Friday at a mosque. In addition to opposing abortion, the group says it is against homosexuality and Islamic violence.

Operation Save America classifies itself as a conservative Christian organization.

You talk about confusion!  Sgt. Pam Lisenby was completely out of control.  There was no way to get Ronnie out of the tree and no way he was getting down on his own.  Even with the help of the fire department law enforcement could not figure out a way to get the perched prophet out of the tree.  I  heard one of the police officers telling Flip that his people were out of control.  Flip told him that he thought Sgt. Lisenby had completely lost control.  She didn’t say one word.  The officer was right, though, Flip was no longer in control, the Holy Spirit was.  Praise the Lord.

As Pastor Wallace preached from the tree, the saints lined the streets with truth signs, the children sang, others witnessed to the deathscorts while the sidewalk counselors did there best to talk with abortion bound women.  Jesus must have been smiling.

At 7:50 pm Pastor Wallace was still in the tree.  The police were still waiting for him to come down when a power poll on the abortion mill property exploded and burst into flames.  The three power lines on the pole were engulfed in fire.  They are the lines that run underground into the mill.   The fire department arrived for the second time today. At 8:05 the fire was out, but Pastor Ronnie was still in the tree.  An hour later when the sun went down the officer that had been guarding the tree all day was relieved of his shift.  After twelve and a half hours with a new officer and darkness Pastor Wallace climbed down the tree, walked across the street, got into his car and drove away.

It will be interesting to see if the mill is opened in the morning.  It will depend on how quickly public service can replace the power lines.
