What "dubia" Should Do

On January 22, 1993, at 12:05 p.m. EST, Mike Warren, our rescue leader in Rochester, New York, was marching with thousands of other Christians in the March for Life in Washington, D.C. He had his radio to his ear when he heard the most startling news that caused his heart to sink. The newly inaugurated President of the United States of America, William Jefferson Clinton, in his very first act as President, had just signed four diabolical Executive Orders:

  1. He lifted the ban on federal funding of abortion on military bases around the world;
  2. He reversed the Reagan Mexico City Policy of not allowing federal funds to be used to finance abortion in foreign nations;
  3. He lifted the ban on the development of Mifepristone (RU 486); and
  4. He lifted the ban on fetal tissue research.

In one fell swoop, a President with only 43% of the popular vote blatantly displayed his utter disregard for God, His Word, and His children by signing these orders into law. He did it on the very day that Christians from across this nation had gathered in D.C. to mourn the deaths of millions of baby boys and girls slaughtered by abortion.

Do you think for one moment that he was concerned about how signing these Executive Orders would affect his presidency and his ability to govern a deeply divided nation? More than half the people voted against him. He had no national mandate, yet this fact did not hinder him at all. He wasn't looking for bipartisan support and the media didn't demand it of him either. Mr. Clinton understood the battle better than we do. He knew to whom he was beholden and he repaid them quickly and well. The demons in hell rejoiced and innocent blood flowed.

We are locked in a battle to the death. It is a battle over who is Lord and whose laws reign. Lives are depending upon us fighting this battle in the Name of Jesus Christ. The word bipartisanship that is being bandied about by the media is simply a word that is used to take the sword out of the Republican Party's hand. Remember the impeachment? Remember this election? Remember the media howling for Bush to reach out to the Democratic Party for bipartisan leadership? Baloney!

It is my fervent hope and prayer that George W. Bush will burn with the passionate fire of God, repent of the shedding of innocent blood, and desire to see justice done. I pray specifically that on January 22, 2001, at 12:05 p.m. EST, Mike Warren, who will again be marching with thousands of Christians in the March for Life in Washington D.C., will have his radio to his ear. I pray that he will hear the most startling news that will cause his heart to rise in joy. The newly inaugurated President of the United States of America, George W. Bush, in his very first act as President reversed the four executive orders Mr. Clinton signed and added two more:

  1. Ban again the federal funding of abortion on military bases around the world;
  2. Restore the Mexico City Policy and ban federal funding of abortions overseas;
  3. Ban the development and distribution of RU 486;
  4. Ban fetal tissue research;
  5. Ban partial birth abortion; and
  6. Cease all federal funding to Planned Parenthood if it kills or refers to kill one child.

One thing I have learned in my days of sharing Christ is that I must do it up front and not wait for a more appropriate time. President Bush must press hard immediately against the sin of shedding innocent blood and not wait for a more appropriate time. He should ask his fellow Democrats to work in a bipartisan spirit to end this holocaust of the shedding of innocent blood. Fat chance of that!

It will send a very powerful message to an enemy who has killed millions of children but is now talking about unity, peace, healing, and bipartisanship. It will send the message that he has been found out and that his days are numbered. Brothers and sisters there is no peace and we must not be conciliatory. No compromise!

Our Nation is Shifting Toward the Lie

If there has ever been a time in our recent history when men have been called to see events from God's perspective, it is now. He is calling us to rightly discern the events of the day (what He is up to) and then to act upon His wisdom in the power of His Holy Spirit. Yes, He is calling us to become like, "… men of Issachar, who understood the times and knew what Israel should do…" I Chronicles 12:32.

Our country is in the midst of a huge paradigm shift. It has never occurred in our nation before. We are on the precipice of moving from one worldview to another. We are moving from the objective, absolute standard of God's Word (rule of law) to the subjective, relativism of each man doing what is right in his own eyes (the will of the people). The implications of this shift are deep and, for those who have eyes to see, it is really a manifestation of the battle between two seeds. This paradigm shift is movement from the rule and reign of God Almighty to the reign to the rule and reign of another.

Our nation and its government were established upon the principles of God's Word. Our Pilgrim forefathers, our founding fathers, and generations following them have openly and gratefully acknowledged their dependence upon God and His providential hand in our nation's history. We are a nation governed by law, God's Law. Because His law governs us there is liberty. Liberty, true liberty is the freedom to become what we ought. It is the freedom to become what God intended us to be. It is not the freedom to do whatever we want but the freedom to lay our lives down that others might live.

In no other nation has liberty so magnificently expressed itself as in America. "Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." 2 Corinthians 3:17. Our nation has become a light unto the world shouting that, "there is another King and His Name is Jesus." Missionaries have unashamedly taken this message from the shores of America into the uttermost parts of the earth. Millions have come to escape the tyranny of godless governments and found safe harbor here. America is a visible expression of God's love for the nations because God Himself is her foundation and her rock. It is Jesus Christ Himself who made America great and to be His servant.

This rich history and purpose, however, is rapidly being lost. We have moved into times of a thing called "pluralism." Pluralism prides itself in being tolerant of all views. Pluralism stresses pragmatic working together (bipartisanship), with unity being its summum bonum. Principle is left behind as pluralism emphasizes common ground. Pluralism is not an end state. It is actually the state that exists when a nation is moving from one worldview to another. Pluralism is that transition state where a nation moves from one form of government (system of law) to another.

It is this paradigm shift that we must battle. We are living in a pluralistic society that is on the verge of making a shift from the God of our fathers to the god of our own imaginations. Christians, stay the course! I have purposely-italicized words that you might be hearing a lot lately. They are the whispers of the enemy

The Scopes Trial or Monkey Trial of 1925 is most illustrative of what we are experiencing in America today. Evolution was pitted against creationism. What would be taught in our children's schools? For more than 250 years the biblical account of creation was taught in our nation's colleges, schools, and home schools. But Charles Darwin brought a new theory to the fore in his On the Origin of Species published in 1859. It did away with the idea that God was necessary to explain creation. Man could do all of the explaining by himself. Evolution became an accepted "truth" by the scientific community and intellectual elite in America in the early twentieth century. Evolution and creationism were on a collision course looking for a place to crash, and crash they did in Dayton, Tennessee, in 1925.

The pluralists felt that evolution should be taught side by side with creation. It certainly seemed fair. "Can't we all just get along?" "For the sake of unity can't we find some common ground?" Little did they understand that one worldview would not tolerate the other. Little did they know that they were being used by the devil himself in the battle between two seeds. Little did they know that they were involved in a war of eternal proportions that has ravaged generations throughout the pages of history. What was done in the Scopes trial of 1925, paved the way for the Supreme Court ruling on January 22, 1973 whereby a mother can, simply because she chooses to, kill her unborn baby.

According to the New York World, "Albert Einstein, George Bernard Shaw, feminists, birth-control advocates, agnostics, atheists, free thinkers, socialists, communists, syndicalists, biologists, psychoanalysts, educators, lawyers, and preachers all joined the army of Scopes supporters." Their legal advocate was ACLU attorney Clarence Darrow who argued that John T. Scopes (a science teacher) was well within the rights of academic freedom to teach evolution side by side creationism. For anyone to think otherwise was downright bigoted or fundamentalist. With the help of a biased media, Darrow and his advocates ultimately won the right to have evolution taught along with creationism in our nation's schools. This would seem to be pluralism's ideal, right? Wrong! The devil used pluralism as a means to an end - the expulsion of Almighty God Himself from our nation's schools. Pluralism was just the transition state.

Teaching evolution side by side with creationism was only the first step (a transition step) to outlawing the teaching of creationism altogether. Today, evolution is king in our nation's schools. Creationism or design theory is not tolerated under any circumstances. One worldview eclipsed the other. Pluralism was the mechanism used to dethrone God and exalt self. History is a great teacher.

Today, America is teetering on the brink of moving from one god to another. We are moving from justice, the rule of law, and mercy as laid out by our Lord in the Bible; to a whole new worldview based on fairness, the will of the people, and being nice as laid out by man. One has an absolute, objective standard (the Bible) that applies to everyone, at all times, everywhere. The other has a relative, subjective standard where every man becomes a law unto himself. One brings with it stability and blessing. The other brings chaos and curse. There is no common ground between the two.

"When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?" Psalm 11:3. When our eyes are opened to the destruction of the foundations of our nation, our order is to rebuild the foundations. The absolute truth of the God of both the Old and New Testaments, who revealed Himself most perfectly in His Son Jesus Christ, and who dwells within us through the blessed presence of His Holy Spirit, is under attack. Our sole duty in these days is to stand firmly in His objective truth and represent this truth to a world that is being shaken to its very core. Now is no time for bipartisanship, common ground, or pragmatism.

The Tale of Two Blobs, an Expose of Election 2000

Look at those who voted for Al Gore. Ten percent of them were political ideologues. These are the hard-liners, NOW (National Organization of Women), Planned Parenthood, the radical homosexual lobby, the green gang, ad nauseam. The other ninety percent were those who voted their pocketbooks. They desire governmental programs to care for them. This large glut of oozing ignorance has but one thought in mind before the ballot is cast - itself. To this large blob, it is the economy, stupid!

A small piece of this large Democratic blob is the black church. It voted its pocketbook. It opened its doors wide on campaign trail 2000 to support those promoting child-killing and homosexuality. Long ago this church became enslaved to Democratic "giveaways" and programs that would benefit the black community's pocketbook. The bride of Christ has been bribed. It voted in lockstep for Mr. Gore to the total abandonment of the principles in God's Word.

The interesting thing about this blob that comprises 90% of the Democratic Party is that it is controlled by the smaller percentage of ideologues. It is basically an unthinking hungry blob that seeks its own security and peace above all else. The radical idealogues determine the policy of the Party.

Look at those who voted for Bush. Ten percent of them were political ideologues also. Most of this ten percent were born-again, radical, socially concerned Christians. The other ninety percent were those who voted for their pocketbooks. They desire government to get off their backs and tax them less. This large glut of oozing ignorance has but one thought in mind before the ballot is cast - itself. To this large blob, as with the Democratic Party, it is the economy, stupid!

The interesting thing about this large blob is that, unlike the Democratic Party, it controls the smaller percentage of radical Christians. It seeks their vote but despises their voice. This larger blob (the 90%) will give the radical Christians small crumbs of hope but always keeps the larger fiscal pie for itself. The larger blob determines the policy of the Republican Party.

The problem is that the large blob in the Republican Party that voted for Bush has much more in common with the large blob in the Democratic Party that voted for Gore than it does with born-again radical Christians. As a matter of fact, the Bush blob would far more tolerate the radical ideologues voting for Gore than it would the born-again Christians who stand on God's Word.

All one has to do is crunch the numbers to figure out what is in store for us (really radical Christians) as the lines of battle are drawn. When we hear the siren call to bring healing to our nation, and for President Elect George Bush to reach his hand across the aisle and share the power with Democrats. When we hear the whine that bipartisanship is the only way to unify and heal our divided land. You had better know that this is not the voice of God. It is the whisper of an enemy crying for peace when there is no peace.

See you at the gates in Jesus Name,
