July 5, 2003 Charlotte Police Declare War on the Gospel of Christ Today, the police department of the city of Charlotte, NC showed its true colors. With Sergeant B.J. Decker in the lead, Flip Benham, Director of Operation Save America/Operation Rescue was arrested for praying at a Charlotte abortion mill.
Interestingly enough, praying seems to be a problem for Sergeant Decker whereas stealing is something to be winked at and ignored. Several weeks ago, an abortion worker destroyed one of Reverend Benham's pro-life signs and stole two others while Sergeant Decker watched and did nothing. Why would the Charlotte police want to silence Reverend Benham? Because they know they are sworn to protect life and they are failing miserably. There are three killing centers in Charlotte where little baby boys and girls are being ripped apart in their mother's wombs all in the name of choice. Someone must speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. By their actions, the Charlotte police are aiding and abetting those who would take the lives of the Lord's precious children. It is time for the Church of Jesus Christ to rise up to her high calling and defend these precious little ones. During the week of July 12-20, gentle Christians from all over the country will be converging on Charlotte to proclaim that Jesus is Lord in this city and not Sergeant Decker. You can arrest us one leader at a time, but you will not silence our message. The Lord Himself is a strong Defender of the defenseless. Church of the Living God, we are the ones who must raise up a standard in this nation. We are the ones who must maintain justice. The Charlotte police will not. They have perverted justice in the streets today and now find themselves aligned with the enemies of God - the abortion industry. God will not bless this city. "Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, wrath has gone against you from the Lord." 2 Chronicles 19:2. Sergeant Decker, hear the word of the Lord today, "Consider what you do, for you judge not for man but for the Lord. He is with you in giving judgment. Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality or taking bribes." 2 Chronicles 19:6-7.
