Revolution Erupts in Bridgeport, Connecticut!

The Lord Jesus Christ has heard the cry of His precious Saints this weekend! The Enemy has tried time and time again to thwart the efforts of Marilyn, Carmen & Co. by placing many obstacles in the way of their efforts to see the Church of the Living God take their theology to the highways and byways of Bridgeport, Connecticut!

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." Matt 5:14-16

As we have read from reports in Bridgeport, the Summit abortuary is planning to move to a new location with the saints of God in hot pursuit! On April 4, 2002, the saints had lost two approved sites for the rally they were planning that would awaken the people of the city. The chief of police had approved the permits for the rally, but while he was on vacation, Bridgeport's mayor took the permits hostage. The police department then gave the saints a second location to hold their rally, but that too was taken away! Never a dull moment following Jesus! When the Church decides to shine her light for the world to see, Satan decides to throw every fiery dart from his pit to dampen or even put out the flame!

"Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring-those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus..." Rev. 12:17

In the midst of the turmoil, God, who takes care of his own, rose up Pastor William Marshall (his church is directly across the street from the proposed site of the abortuary) who let the saints rally there!

This past weekend the battle raged! At the gates of the unholy place, the shofars were blown and pastoral leadership gave the war cry! 250 of the Lord's army stormed the gates with signs in hand and praises in their hearts!

Lift up your heads, O you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.

Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
the LORD mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, O you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is he, this King of glory?
The LORD Almighty--
he is the King of glory."
Ps. 24:7-10

Hordes of media (CT. Post, Boston Globe, The Fairfield Catholic, WFIF Christian Radio, WICC Radio, major news networks and others) lined the sidewalk to see the army of God do spiritual warfare against the evil deeds of darkness.

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Eph 6:12-13

At the gates of the proposed High Place, the stouthearted pastors held a Solemn Assembly. The army of the LORD listened intently as the watchmen publicly confessed the Church's apathy before the Lord. With humble hearts and broken spirits, these mighty leaders repented of the shedding of innocent blood before the great and Mighty King and prayed that He would have mercy upon the blood-defiled land.

"They shed innocent blood,
the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
and the land was desecrated by their blood.
They defiled themselves by what they did;
by their deeds they prostituted themselves."
Ps 106:38-39

"Return, faithless Israel,' declares the LORD,
'I will frown on you no longer,
for I am merciful,' declares the LORD,
'I will not be angry forever.
Only acknowledge your guilt--
you have rebelled against the LORD your God…"
Jer. 3:12-13

"if you repent, I will restore you
that you may serve me;
if you utter worthy, not worthless words;
you will be my spokesman."
Jer. 15:19

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9-10

Stephen Bennent, brought the Saints into the presence of the LORD as he led the people in worship and adoration to the Most Holy King of Kings. With songs of redemption and mercy on their lips and hymns of adoration in their hearts, the saints rejoiced in the God of their salvation.

"Praise the LORD.

Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.

Praise the LORD."
Ps 150

Stephen shared the miraculous redemption the Lord had displayed in his own life. The Great Deliverer had brought him out from the darkness of homosexuality.

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Cor 6:9-11

Other saints also shared of God's healing power manifest in their lives. Testimonies of mom's healed from the aftermath of abortion to those who at last minute did not sacrifice their children in the fire of the High Place, filled the air as the people wept with joy over God's miraculous power!

"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Ps 34:18

"He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds."

Ps 147:3

The preaching, proclaiming, prophesying Church of Jesus Christ is arising in Bridgeport, Connecticut to defeat the enemy who desires to rob, kill, steal and destroy God's precious image-bearers. No matter what darts Satan tries to use against the Kingdom of God, the saints will simply follow the example Jehoshaphat and his army set when they went to battle.

"…Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you." 2 Chron 20:16-17

Bridgeport Summary

We are in awe with what God has done this weekend! He is an awesome Daddy who hears our prayers, and is never late, always right on time! As of this past Thursday night, 5:30 PM, we had lost our two approved sites for our event. The police chief had orally approved our permit and we were told to go ahead with all our plans. Little did we know that while the chief was away on vacation the mayor's office would put a hold on our permit. We were then given a second location by police and that was taken away, too. We know we have an enemy who did not want this rally to go on. But thanks to God and Pastor William Marshall, a church was provided to us in the perfect location - right across from the proposed killing center. PTL!
"And they were astonished exceedingly beyond measure." Mark 6: 51b

We praise God for the things He is doing right in our midst! He is rising up an army for battle.
The event started around 8:30 am as saints trickled in to stand on the streets with signs and literature distribution. There were about 250 people present outside by 11 A.M. and about 200 that went inside for the second part. There were many media reporters present to cover the event including CT. Post, Boston Globe, The Fairfield Catholic, WFIF Radio, WICC Radio, Ch. 12-TV News and others. The press conference went well as ten area clergy stood in public for righteousness and then followed with a solemn assembly with confession, repentance and prayer. They were there for God's purpose in this generation to turn their world upside down (Acts 13:36) at such a time as this (Est. 4:14). They are watchmen for the community and praying for God's 20/20 vision. "In order that no advantage be taken of us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes" 2 Cori. 2:11

There were seven patrol cars parked on the street to watch this event. The rally continued inside around 12 noon for refreshments and praise and worship by Stephen Bennett, who gave an inspiring testimony about deliverance from homosexuality. A drama by Tiffany & Co., and testimonies from three moms that either had abortions or changed their minds (not a dry eye in the house) were followed by a keynote address by Rev. Philip Benham of the national ministry, Operation Save America. This is only beginning of the end of child killing in our community. The rally ended by 2 P.M. "With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints." Eph. 6:18

The weekend ended with an awesome service at Gospel Light, Pastor Miller's church. Rev. Benham preached on Joshua 8 and how God had waited 400 years for the Amorites to obey Him. Just like He is waiting now for America. Then the judgment came. God told Joshua in chapter 7:10 to stop praying. Israel had defiled God. They touched God's "charem" (devoted things). So then they received "charem" (destruction). Babies created in the likeness and image of God are His devoted things. If you hurt His babies, you will receive destruction. Our only hope is to repent, stop apologizing, stop making deals, and stand in this indisputable matter. For if we don't, our nation will be destroyed.
"Joshua took Makkedah that day and smote it and it's king with the sword and utterly destroyed everyone in it. He left none remaining. And He did to the king of Makkedah as He had done to the king of Jericho."
Joshua 10:28
"Then they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, ox, sheep, and donkey, with the edge of the sword." Joshua 6:21

I hope and pray to see all of you out on the streets until the killing stops. We will be at the normal location on 211 Middle Street Tuesdays and Fridays 7 A.M. and on. We will also have people at the new location, 3787 Main St. Tues. and Fri. 8 A.M. to 9 A.M and Sat. 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. People need to flood the mayor's office with phone calls about this matter. Bridgeport paid $600,000. to buy 211 Middle St. They paid $300,000. to relocate them. Now they are willing to pay more to relocate them again. Now is the time to speak out.
