Church on the Streets, Friday 5/5/06

Church on the Streets, Friday 5/5/06
By Marilyn Carroll

The picture above is the young couple that changed their minds Tuesday [May 2]. They were counseled and prayed for and touched with tears by the Spirit of God.

Today twenty-five pro-lifers came out to pray and stand against the killing of innocent boys and girls at 3787 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT. We were blessed to have Fr. DeMayo and Pastor Miller in our midst, real men of God that lead by example. We had a wonderful police officer from the Bridgeport Police Department on the scene. Tony, the doorman for the clinic was there, please pray that he finds another job and that the Lord saves him from his sin. Four "deathscorts" were present from Wesleyan University. From what we saw:

Fifteen moms came at killing time. Three turned away. One changed her mind . Eleven babies were left to die an excruciatingly painful death!

The young lady that changed her mind today was a beautiful seventeen year old black girl from Harding High. She already has a 5-month-old baby at home. We counseled her and prayed with her and gave her a DVD and other resource information for help. Please pray for these moms that change their minds. Please pray most of all for salvation. We always give them the message of hope in Jesus Christ to turn their lives around to the right path. Carmen took her home from the killing center.

The Spirit of God was so sweet this day; you could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. A young woman went to the police officer to complain about the sound system, he must have sent her over to us. She went to Carmen and then Carmen called me over. I told her we would turn it down. She said she was not against what we were doing. She said she had mono and was trying to rest. We all ended up laying hands on her and Pastor Miller anointed her with oil. Marc read her the Scripture from Romans on salvation. I gave her some gospel tracts and my card. I said to call my cell if she ever hears the sound. We try to keep it down to a level where only the moms walking in can hear. We have a permit. Pray for this young lady, Lori. Also, Daniel, my 4 year old nephew, laid hands on her and prayed beautifully for her, all by himself. He is learning to minister to others and to preach on the streets at a young age. It just goes to show that if you train children to go the right way they will pick it up. He is around Christians all the time and he copies what we do. That is another reason why home school is so biblical. The Bible commands parents to teach their children all day long. If they are at school, with strangers, they pick up things that are not good for them.

The Bible is full of warnings (Psalm 1) about living in this sinful world. God tells us Heaven is the absence of sin and bad company corrupts good morals. Proverbs is full of wisdom comparing the foolish to the wise. The Scriptures warn us to stay away from godless, angry people because a little bit of leaven ruins the whole batch. We live a very fragile existence and Jesus tells us to guard our eyes, our ears and be very careful who we fellowship with. God wants us to be holy as He is holy. He tells us to be "perfect" which means "mature." He would not tell us to do something that was impossible. All things are possible with Him.

Please join us each Tuesday and Friday, we are the "church without walls" as we minister on the streets of Bridgeport. We claim that ground as "Holy Ground" and we believe by faith for child killing to end soon there. We will be there until the killing stops. We continue to reach out to those who find themselves where they should not be. We try to persuade moms to choose life and not death.
