Sixteen proclaimers came out early this morning and met on Platt Avenue near West Haven High at 6:45am. The oldest in the group was my mom, 80 years old and the youngest, my nephew Daniel, at 3 years old. It just shows that no matter how old you are you can do the Lord's work. Pastor Ron Nugent was there to represent the clergy. We joined together in prayer and lifted up the police, the students, the faculty and the parents. We prayed the truth of God's word would go forth to accomplish His will and thank you Jesus it was a victorius day! Thirteen Christians held signs and banners for life and three of us distributed literature and Bibles to walk-ins. At lease ten busloads of students drove by the signs slowly as the kids were mesmerized at what they saw. One of the girls on the school bus told us she "changed her mind" after seeing the photos. Praise the Lord! Hopefully, a life was spared. We know what the kids were talking about in school today. We got lots of thumbs up and beeps for our message. A Catholic young male student stood with us for a while directing fellows students attention to the signs. A few parents were disgruntled that we were there and engaged in conversation with our people. One lady came out from the school thanking everybody for being there. She said she worked in the school and she tries to reach the kids as much as she can. She went up to every saint that came out today and thanked them from the bottom of her heart. She was ecstatic that we would come and reach out to the kids. The police were great. We notified them two weeks ago by letter and we called yesterday. They had marked and unmarked cars surveilling the area. Channel Eight News was even there today because yesterday some students were arrested in a brawl and supposedly more were getting arrested today. I believe it was God's perfect timing for us to be there today with prayer and the gospel. Thank you to all who came and all who prayed but couldn't be there. Blessed are the feet of those who bring the Gospel in peace.
"The sin of our times is the sin that believes in nothing, cares for nothing, seeks to know nothing, interferes with nothing, enjoys nothing, hates nothing, finds purpose in nothing, and remains alive because there is nothing for which it will die."
