Zephaniah 3:1-5 “Woe to the city of oppressors, rebellious and defiled! She obeys no one, she accepts no correction. She does not trust in the Lord, she does not draw near to her God. Her officials are roaring lions, her rulers are evening wolves, who leave nothing for the morning. Her prophets are arrogant; they are treacherous men. Her priests profane the sanctuary and do violence to the law. The Lord within her is righteous; He does no wrong. Morning by morning He dispenses His justice, and every new day He does not fail, yet the unrighteous know no shame.” Friday, December 9 - As we rolled up to the crime scene a blanket of snow covered the dismal surroundings and our eyes focused on the “New Dimensions Christian Center” church van from E. St. Louis, Illinois, parked on the abortion mill lot. Three women had gone inside, Nolan informed me. “Are you sure they didn't go into the hospital?” “No, they're in the abortion mill,” he said. We prayed and tried pleading with the moms and dads going in. During a break, I phoned the church where this van came from and left a message for the pastor, informing him that their church van was being used in commission of a crime and asking him to return my call. Four hours later, these holy women came walking out. The back-seat passenger was carrying her brown bag to vomit in. The clinic workers over-medicate the mothers with pain and sleep medication; nausea and vomiting is one of the many side effects. Most clients yell and scream at us after they kill, they are feeling guilty and convicted. These three women were extremely quiet and walked with their heads down. That evening the Pastor King from this church phoned and told me he was as shocked as I was to hear that his church van had been brought to the abortion clinic. He said that someone must have loaned it out, that he would check into it and get back to me. Tuesday I went into the station to do my radio program. After the program, it's usual for me to show the staff pictures from the past week outside the clinic. Boy, did I open a can of worms! Our sister station recognized the church van in question. As a matter of fact, one lady still attends the church. She was outraged that her church would be involved with such an abomination. She asked for the pictures and made phone calls and told me she was meeting with the pastor that evening. My station manager commented, “Boy Angela, after those women get a hold of him he is going to wish you had showed up at his church with those signs!” There was talk of past confrontations, of adulteress behavior within the leadership of this church. Some within the congregation left due to those reports. I was informed that this pastor also had aired a radio program at our sister station for awhile. The next day I received another call from the pastor informing me he had learned his church van had been borrowed by someone in the church and that these two women had taken a young girl who felt forced into the abortion. He would deal with them and he apologized. He also stated that he does not promote abortion. Zephaniah 3:11-13 “On that day you will not be put to shame for all the wrongs you have done to Me, because I will remove from this city those who rejoice in their pride. Never again will you be haughty on My holy hill. But I will leave within you the meek and the humble, who trust in the name of the Lord. The remnant of Israel will do no wrong; they will speak no lies, nor will deceit be found in their mouths. They will eat and lie down and no one will make them afraid.”
