WE GAVE WASH-U HEAVEN!!!!

On February 25, the campus of Washington University in St. Louis, MO was stirred up as Rev. Flip Benham and about twenty other Christian activists exposed the truth about the school's use of aborted baby body parts for research and shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the students.

Arriving about 11:00 am., we met up with Matthew, the head of the student group that had invited us on the campus, and then widely positioned ourselves in a well-traveled section of the campus to hand out information. As students on their lunch break came walking by, they could not help but see the several full-size signs showing the victims of abortion and hear our proclamations of the trafficking of aborted baby parts at their school. Even though some attempted to ignore us, disputes began almost immediately as indignant students expressed how "offended" they were by what we were doing.

Although the campus security eventually made us put away our signs and literature after about 45 minutes, it was not soon enough to quench the fires that we had started. Particularly inciting the wrath of students was one large sign we had that compared Hitler's Holocaust of the Jews with America's Holocaust of abortion. (Since a large population of the student body at Wash-U is Jewish, this added all the more fuel to the fire!) In no time at all a large crowd of students had gathered around Rev. Benham as he debated an impassioned young man named Tim, who believed that the use of the aborted babies' bodies in research was acceptable

The sparks were soon shooting out all over as every one of us who came to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the gates of secular humanism and paganism each became involved in our own circle of debates with the students who continued to gather. For over four hours we boldly proclaimed the Absolute Truth of God's Word to those who believed in the lies of relativism, pluralism, tolerance, neutrality, evolution, homosexuality, and a woman's so-called "right to choose". Those who had been taken "captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world" (Colossians 2:8) were blown away by the fact that we uncompromisingly stood on the Scriptures and were not ashamed to say that Jesus is our standard. Even those who claimed to be "pro-life" were dumbfounded that we would not surrender God as the basis of our argument against abortion.

We thank the Lord for opening the door for Rev. Benham to come shine forth His light in the darkness of Wash-U, and for the way in which He used each of us to spread the fire of His Truth across the campus; and we trust His Spirit to continue to work in the hearts and minds of all who heard. It was an awesome experience that each of us will not soon forget, and I think it will remain the topic for a while on the now-electrified campus of Washington University. As Rev. Benham says, for four hours, we gave them heaven!!!
