Thursday Report, 7-20-06

By Brenda Spurlock and Dorothy Boyett

“A righteous man who falters before the wicked is like a murky spring and a polluted well.“ Proverbs 25:26

Up-to-the-minute update: “The group burned a copy of the Islamic holy book, the Quran, during a gathering Tuesday night at the Making Jesus Real church in Pearl.” When these words appeared in AP press, churches who were supporting Operation Save America's (OSA) push to end abortion in Mississippi began bailing out. This afternoon, Making Jesus Real withdrew their invitation to hold nightly rallies at their church. Quick phone calls to the hotel rooms of OSA participants informed them of a change of venue - an open air meeting at Smith Park in downtown Jackson. Everyone agreed that, as rally speaker Brother Cal Zastrow put it, “God seems intent on keeping us on the streets.” Two other churches picked up vans, reneging on promises to loan them to OSA for the entire week.

Christians have unsheathed the Sword of the Spirit, God's Word, and are waging spiritual warfare against the enemy whose name is Satan and Death.

Again Wednesday night, the Bible was read aloud throughout the night at Jackson Women's Health Organization. Saints reported two babies were saved this morning!

The Lawrence Reeves family with their three adopted sons bring roses for the casket of Deborah, an 18-week baby killed by abortion, at a memorial service held in Smith Park in downtown Jackson. Tom Raddell is at left.

Roy McMillan, Mississippi pro-life activist for 24 years, with saved baby Charles Roy “Charley.”

Another long time Mississippi soldier for Christ and the unborn, Phillip Cornagio, takes a stand at the last abortion mill in the state.

Members of NOW and other weird individuals, including a couple of transvestites, showed up at the conclusion of OSA's memorial service for baby Deborah spewing venom and causing a ruckus.
