in Cleveland's “Gay Pride” Parade

This past Saturday, June 18, darkness once again was ushered into the city of Cleveland, Ohio as every kind of wicked sexual perversion was celebrated in the name of so-called “equality”. Even the city's own mayor, Jane Campbell, the first mayor to fly the sodomite flag next to the American flag at Cleveland City Hall, marched in the parade. A lover of child-killing (she has long had a pro-abortion stand) and eager to please the constituency of evil-doers, she waved and smiled her way through the route along with other hollow politicians looking to please man rather than God.

When Isaiah speaks of impending judgment on Jerusalem and Judah for their sins, he says in 3:9, “The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.” That's exactly what we saw on the streets of Cleveland, sin and debauchery paraded in pride, with no shame of what shouldn't even be spoken about, let alone done - and then in public - and then flaunted! Oh America, how far we have fallen! And all this with the blessing of the city, and worse, the Church of Jesus Christ.

But there were a few, a remnant, that boldly held up the banner of Jesus Christ and preached repentance and mercy to those who are perishing. Twenty-three brave Saints came out to hold up a Standard against the wickedness in their streets. Some worshiped the Lord with banners, some held signs, some prayed and walked the area, and still others handed out gospel tracts and had discussions with those willing to stop.

After using the same route for 15 years, the parade organizers changed the route for this year, but then so did Life Link, by the power of the Holy Spirit! Tom Raddell, Director of Life Link in Cleveland who organized the event, decided to set up in front of the “Free Stamp”, a sculpture of a hand stamp used in offices that spells the word “free” and is right next to City Hall, directly on the parade route! Amidst drag queens and lasciviousness, over the din of ranting and raving, praise music to Jesus was heard and Scott Heldreth and Dave Lackey preached the message of true freedom over the sound system.

One of the Saints was startled to see someone he actually knows in the parade, and is praying for wisdom to confront the situation. He is the children's choir director of a local Christian church! God certainly “outed” this guy on Saturday! May his pastor have the courage and wisdom to deal rightly with the situation! Afterward, 10 of the Saints went into the festival to have conversations and spread the gospel. They were excited to meet up with other Believers where were also there to be a light in the darkness. One interesting conversation was held with a man who confessed his “temptation” in this area, but had never acted on it, and this was his first event ever. As he told us he was a Christian, we praised God for using us as a safety net for this man. We pray that the conviction of the Holy Spirit is strong upon this man, and that he heeds the warning God gave him as he walked as a lamb to the slaughter of evil.
