God is going back to school this year in a big way! Not only are we bringing the Gospel of Christ to the very gates of hell at local high schools across the country. But, through the APRIL PROJECT sponsored by Dr. John Beasley of Freedom to Learn, we will be presenting the pro-life message to our local school boards and they, in turn, must give us permission to bring the pro-life message into local high schools. This is wonderful news!

It has all been made possible by a decision rendered by the Supreme Court of the United States of America in 1992 Planned Parenthood v. Casey. That's right! We looked at this decision as a loss in the battle for the lives of pre-born children but the Supreme Court inadvertently opened the door to the possibility of presenting the pro-life message to students in government schools. Monday morning, March 1, 1999, marked the beginning of this year's God is Going Back to School campaign. Christians from across the nation are taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the tragic truth about child killing to their local high schools. God is walking right back into the schools - from which He was judicially banned - through the hearts and lives of our kids. This assault on the gates of hell is working and it is powerful. Kids and teachers talk about God, abstinence, free speech, and abortion all day long and sometimes all week. Jesus is brought back into the secular equation.

If you are wondering whether or not you can do this - YOU CAN! There is more than enough time to organize right now. You can be effective with just five people - three to hold the large signs and two to pass out literature and share the Gospel. You will go to the schools two or three times a week and use the public sidewalk as your venue. It will require an hour of your time each day either before or after school. YOU WILL NOT BE GOING ALONE!

OPERATION SAVE AMERICA, BUFFALO AND ROCHESTER, NY, APRIL 18-25, 1999

Things are heating up in Buffalo and Rochester as gentle Christians from across the nation prepare to allow their theology to become biography in the streets of these two cities. An organization called the Committee for a New Way (made up of pro-life and pro-choice people seeking common ground over the killing of children) is taking out a full-page ad in the Buffalo News to refute the Gospel tactics of Operation Save America. It is to be signed by over 3,000 misled folks who ascribe to this pitiful philosophy and vision.

In Rochester, a similar group called Save our Civility is taking out a full-page ad in the Democrat and Chronicle in opposition to Operation Save America taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the streets. The headquarters for this group is the YWCA in Rochester. Here is their mission statement:

"At a time when two doctors in our region have been shot at, and one killed, and clinics throughout the nation have been bombed and set on fire, protesters are mobilizing people from around the country to make our community a 'battleground.' This fosters an environment in which violence can flourish.

They are mounting a campaign called Operation Save America against schools, hospitals, women's health clinics, and doctors who provide abortion services. With all due respect for everyone's right to protest in a peaceful manner, we cannot welcome into our community any group whose stated purpose is to create a battleground.

We say no to violence. Public education and public protest should be conducted without violence in speech or action.

We say yes to tolerance and civility. We must work together in a respectful, open, and honest way to find solutions for difficult human problems."

Never mind the thousands of babies slaughtered at the altar of choice. Never mind the kids strung out on drugs and killing each other. Never mind the kids who cannot read with comprehension, write with articulation, or compute with accuracy. Never mind the violence our kids suffer at the hands of a public school system that hates God and hates His LAW. Never mind that there is an enemy robbing, killing, and destroying our children while we sit passively by trying our best to appear civil. We are losing our kids to abortion, premarital sex, booze, drugs, gangs, murder, mindless wandering, and nihilistic despair. Buffalo and Rochester were "battlegrounds" long before Operation Save America.

Never mind that when Operation Rescue spent a month in Wichita, KS, violent crime in that area dropped to lows never before recorded. Never mind that when Operation Rescue went to Baton Rouge, LA, there was not one homicide the entire month of July. Never mind that when Operation Rescue went to New Orleans, LA (murder capital of the nation), the murder rate for the month of April dropped 54%. Never mind the thousands of preborn babies saved from violent death as a result of Christians not loving their own lives so much as to shrink from death.

For whatever reason, these poor people have been duped into believing that one can reason with an enemy who has destroyed countless millions. How foolish of them not to recognize that this enemy fully intends to destroy them too. Yet they remain happy in their little churches with their little theology serving their little god and being of little good to a world that is dying and going to hell. They have, however, learned to be civil. To these people, good form in argument is far more important than the content of the argument. "Yes, children are dying every day," they say, "but we must be reasonable and try to understand the pregnant woman's feelings because we do not want to turn anyone off to the Gospel." One wonders the kind of appeal these "near do wells" would make if one of their own children were being taken off to the slaughter. Perhaps the content of the argument would take on new significance.

HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON COMING TO BUFFALO ON APRIL 22

Wanting to make the biggest splash for the abortion industry possible, the President's wife will be joining Operation Save America in Buffalo on April 22. She will be coming with an entirely different agenda, however. Hers is an advocacy of an enemy that seeks to separate parents from their children. "It Takes a Village", you know. She believes that government programs can save America. We believe that King Jesus alone is the only hope to save America. We will represent our King to our poor, lonely, lost First Lady.

HARRY BLACKMUN IS ALIVE

Today, Harry Andrew Blackmun, appointed to the Supreme Court of the United States of America by Richard M. Nixon in 1970 and author of the majority opinion for Roe v. Wade, died.

"He is not dead, however!" said Rev. Flip Benham, National Director of Operation Rescue. "Today, Mr. Harry Blackmun realizes what he would never acknowledge during his life on this earth - that children in their mother's wombs are human beings created by God and are of infinite worth. Today, Mr. Blackmun's knee is bowing in humble contrition before the court that truly is Supreme. Today, Mr. Blackmun is acknowledging that Jesus Christ is Lord and that he is not. Today, Mr. Blackmun is realizing the horrible consequences of his treacherous majority opinion. Today, Mr. Blackmun is weeping over his sin!

"Yes, today Mr. Blackmun is alive. He is faced with the eternal reality that there is no hope for him apart from Almighty God, whose voice he CHOSE to ignore during his lifetime. The same spirit that inhabited the shell of Pharoah and Adolf Hitler inhabited him. It was the spirit of murder. Today, If Mr. Harry Andrew Blackmun could come back from the grave, I have no doubt what he would say to America!"

THE INCREDIBLE ARROGANCE OF THE COURTS (GOLIATH REVISITED)

It is imperative that we allow our theology to become biography and bring the Gospel of Christ to our kids in government schools now. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, which includes Texas in its jurisdiction, has for the first time in our nation's history, gotten itself into the business of dictating the content of student-led prayer. First, It has ruled that graduation prayers must be NON-PROSELYTIZING and NONSECTARIAN; otherwise they are impermissible. In other words, students cannot be allowed to lead a graduation prayer that calls upon the name of Jesus or any other deity.

Second, the court rejected the permissibility of prayer before public school events such as football games. The court concluded that such events do not have the solemn, unique nature of a graduation ceremony.

This incredible judicial arrogance deserves a quick and formidable response from those who proclaim Jesus as Lord. Since this involves Texas, we are raising up an army of Davids and Jonathans to run to the roar of the enemy. We know this enemy and we know he cannot stand against the armies of the Living God. We are raising up kids (arrows in the hands of a warrior) who will despise the shame and place the name of Jesus upon their graduation caps and lead prayers in the wonderful Name of Jesus. We are looking for those who will publicly pray at football games. We are going to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the gates of hell. It is going to be an exciting spring at many high school graduations.

LIKE ARROWS IN THE HANDS OF A WARRIOR

Many of you have asked about our boys, David and Jason. Both of them are now launched from the bow of family, and our prayer is that they will each fulfill God's purposes for their lives. Many of you have built into them the strong foundation of God's principles upon which they do stand. Professional baseball has been a particular challenge to them, and they always look forward to meeting you in the cities they play in. You will be glad to know that the Gospel is going forth strongly as they contend with our enemies at the gates. Several of the guys on the teams they play for have given their hearts to Christ. Please keep them in your prayers.
