Operation Save America! April 18-25. The Revolution Continues!

Christian leaders from across the nation will be gathering in Buffalo, NY April, 18-25 to face the enemies of our Lord head up. Buffalo has again become a flash point for the battle between two seeds (Gen 3:15). Governor Pataki is considering welcoming us with the National Guard and setting in place New York's very own FACE law. The local and national media have been merciless in branding every Christian that calls abortion murder, a wild-eyed lunatic bent on blowing up buildings and shooting people. Father Weslin, founder of Lambs for Christ, has been a particular target of the media's ire. Janet Reno, not to be outdone by the state of New York, has filed two civil FACE lawsuits against us in Dayton, Ohio, and Washington, DC, and has appointed yet another Department of Justice task force to invent another pro-life conspiracy theory.

All of this bluster and blather of course is meant to keep gentle Christians like you and me from living out our faith in the streets of our nation. It is aimed at terrifying anyone who would even think about allowing the Word of God to become flesh in the streets of Buffalo and Rochester. Goliath has again manifested himself to frighten the children of Israel and prevent them from doing what they ought. For good reason, this enemy of God fears that God's people might rise up and storm his gates of hell in the power of Jesus' Name. This spells absolute doom for his nasty culture of death and he knows it. So he roars and we hide! We hide in the safety of our churches and in the relative safety of a debauched political system that holds no real threat to Him. If he can't scare us from the battlefield, he will convince us to fight him in Saul's armor.

For too long we in the pro-life movement have been shackled by the cumbersome armor of King Saul. We have been sold the idea, by friend and foe alike, that if we ever intend to win the battle for the lives of baby boys and girls waiting to be born, we must do it through legislative avenues. This fruitless strategy is Saul's armor. It is unadulterated poppycock! Believing this lie has reduced Christian warriors to spiritual eunuchs. We have become ashamed of God's Word in this wicked and adulterous generation and afraid to fight with the Sword of the Spirit.

Saul's armor makes us wholly dependent upon elected officials to fight a giant that only we can slay. The giant of child killing will never come to an end by political resolution or building bridges to the enemy's camp. Most of the bridges we have built to the enemy's camp need to be blown up. The Partial Birth Abortion Ban; common ground; rape, incest, life of the mother clauses; etc., are all Saul's armor.

The battle is being won as gentle Christians take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the gates of hell. Five smooth stones were all David needed to slay a giant that all Israel feared. He didn't even need all of them. What he did need was clear vision, singleness of heart, and the empowerment and blessing of Almighty God upon his life.

In David's time every man heard the taunts of Goliath: "Choose a man and have him come down to me. If he is able to fight and kill me, we will become your subjects; but if I overcome and kill him, you will become our subjects and serve us." 1 Samuel 17:8. Every man fled from this boastful challenge - EVERY MAN! Even the one appointed by God to fight Goliath - "…the one who was a head taller than any of the others" 1 Samuel 9:2. King Saul himself, though elected King, would not fight the battle.

Relying upon elected officials to fight the battle that is reserved for the Church of Jesus Christ is futile. Presidents, congressmen, and judges won't and cannot slay the giant of child killing. They may try to reason with him, but they will never slay him. This job belongs to another. It belongs to those who have truly heard the voice of God and are unashamed to stand for Him, wielding the Sword of the Spirit against all odds.

Look at the 12 years of Republican pro-life leadership in the presidencies of Ronald Reagan and George Bush (1980-1992) and see that the number of surgical abortions actually increased during their tenure. Since the presidency of William Jefferson Clinton in 1992 (the most pro-abortion president ever), the number of surgical abortions has decreased dramatically. According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute (statistical arm of Planned Parenthood), there has been a 10% drop in the number of surgical abortions done in America since 1992. The number of facilities offering abortions decreased 14% between 1992 and 1996. Since 1992, legislation favoring and funding the abortion industry has increased. Laws outlawing the gentle Christian witness outside mills have only become more hostile. Yet the battle for the lives of preborn children is being won! Why?

Gentle Christian warriors have thrown aside the cumbersome armor of Saul (trying to elect governmental officials to legislatively fight the battle for us) and are storming the gates of hell. God is demonstrating, for anyone who has eyes to see, that the battle is His. He is simply looking for a people who will run to the roar of the enemy! We will slay the Goliath of Roe v. Wade when we remove Saul's armor and take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the gates of hell. We win when we do this!

We are going to Buffalo and Rochester this April in Jesus Name, not loving our own lives so much as to shrink from death. The gentle revolution that is turning the abortion industry upside down is one that begins in the heart. The laws of this land will one day reflect this revolution but only after the battle is fought. Jesus is calling the salt out of the salt shaker. It is a command!

We are not going in Saul's armor nor are we waiting for the approval of our brothers and sisters who are shivering and hiding in caves, hoping the giant will not see them. We want the giant to see us! We want him to see the great and mighty God we serve. We want him to see theology becoming biography in the streets of Buffalo and Rochester. The enemy's doom is sure. He is finished and we are going to proclaim this truth until Jesus takes us home. Join with us and you will be forever changed.

What the Abortion Statistics are Saying:

"Christians are winning!"

• Teen pregnancy, birthrates, and abortions have declined each year for the past five years (Center for Disease Control [CDC], Atlanta, GA).
• The number of abortions performed in our nation is at its lowest level since 1976 (Alan Guttmacher Institute[AGI]).
• The number of abortions performed in our nation dropped by 200,000 between 1990 and 1995 (CDC).
• Teen pregnancy rates have dropped 2% in '93, 2% in '94, 2% in '95, 2% in '96, and 2% in '97 (CDC).
• Today, there are fewer abortionists killing children (American Medical Association [AMA]).
• Abortionists killing children are getting older (average age, 59). The AMA calls it the graying of the abortion industry. No doctor wants to waste years of medical training to be an abortionist (AMA).
• The number of medical schools teaching abortion has fallen by more than 50% since 1987 (AMA).
• There are 579 fewer abortion mills today than there were in 1986. 500 mills have closed in the past six years (AGI).
• 84% of the counties in America have no killing center (AGI, Planned Parenthood Federation of America [PPFA]).
• Support for the Roe v. Wade decision has dropped 13% since 1991 (Louis Harris Poll, August, 1996).
• The three individuals most instrumental in ushering in Roe v. Wade on January 22, 1973, are today all professing, confessing Christians - Norma McCorvey (Jane Roe), Sandra Cano (Mary Doe) and Dr. Bernard Nathanson (founder of NARAL).
• The number of malpractice suits filed by women hurt by abortion is well over 200. Several groups are aggressively pursuing and uncovering the horrible truth of abortion malpractice (Life Dynamics Inc.).
• Abortionists are losing their licenses as medical boards discover the incompetence of many so-called "doctors" (AMA).
• The callous cover-up by the abortion industry of the abortion/breast cancer link is being exposed in the national media.
• The truth about hundreds of women who have died as a result of "safe" legal abortion is being made known. We have the names and addresses of over 300 women who have died at abortion mills (Priests for Life).
• The employee turnover rate in abortion facilities is incredibly high (PPFA).
• Sexual perversion, alcoholism, drug abuse, divorce, suicide, depression and murder are ravaging those who work in the abortion industry (American Psychiatric Association [APA]).
• The animosity and distrust between abortionists and their staff is glaring (Life Dynamics Inc.).
• Planned Parenthood, the leading provider of abortions in our nation, is losing ground (PPFA).
• In 1995 Planned Parenthood had 928 affiliates. Today is has 900 (PPFA).
• In 1995 PPFA had 21,000 employees. Today it has 17,000 employees (PPFA).
• PPFA's educational contracts fell from 1.7 million in 1996 to 1.5 million in 1997 (PPFA).
• The humanity of the little child in the womb of his mother has now become almost impossible to deny, thanks to the bold witness of gentle Christians who have despised the shame and shown the truth.
• People involved in the abortion industry hate what they do, they hate each other, they hate themselves, and they hate those who confront them in their sin (APA).

What the Abortion Industry Is Saying:

"We are losing!"

1. "For five consecutive years nationally, teen pregnancy, birth rates, and abortions have declined." (Dr. Henry Foster, abortionist and President Clinton’s National Advisor on Teen Pregnancy, 1998)
2. Between 1988 and 1992, abortion rates decreased in 36 states and the District of Columbia, as well as the country as a whole." (Alan Guttmacher of PPFA, 1997)
3. "Hate and harassment clearly inhibit women from access to abortion. It is more difficult now to get an abortion than it was five years ago." (Gloria Feldt of PPFA, 1997)
4. "Abortion opponents will achieve their goal without ever having to overturn Roe v. Wade." (Kate Michelman of NARAL, 1997)
5. "Twenty percent of women who want an abortion can't get one because there is not a provider in their area...this really impedes women's legal rights." (Vicki Saporta of National Abortion Federation, 1997
6. "The number of abortions in this nation has dropped twenty-nine percent in the last six years." (Dr. Joycelyn Elders, former U.S. surgeon general, 1998)

What God Is Saying:

"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness." Romans 1:18.

1. Bill Clinton is not our problem, he is a sign and judgment from God. "Therefore the Lord was angry with His people … and their foes ruled over them." Ps 106:40-41.
2. Abortion is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "… But Ephraim will bring out their children to the slayer." Hos 9:13.
3. Losing our kids to drugs, gangs, and murder is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "Even if they rear children, I will bereave them of every one…" Hos 9:12.
4. Kids killing kids is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "… bloodshed follows bloodshed. Because of this the land mourns …" Hos 4:2-3.
5. Homosexuality is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "They exchanged the truth of God for a lie … Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts ..." Rom 1:25-26.
6. Rampant crime is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "…No man could go about his business safely because of his enemy, for I had turned every man against his neighbor." Zech 8:10.
7. Bad laws and statutes are not our problem, they are a sign and judgment from God. "… because they had not obeyed my laws … I also gave them over to statutes that were not good and laws they could not live by ..." Ezek 20:24-25.
8. The fact that God's people and the Republican Party have become waffling compromisers, unwilling to stand for anything, is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "The men of Ephraim, though armed with bows, turned back on the day of battle ..." Ps 78:9.
9. Becoming a society of "victims" and blaming others is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "… The fathers have eaten sour grapes and the children's teeth are set on edge." Jer 31:29.
10. The incredible number of lawsuits strangling our judicial system is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "… Therefore lawsuits spring up like poisonous weeds in a plowed field." Hos 10:4.
11. The foolish idea that "money can fix anything" is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "… but money is the answer for everything." Eccl 10:19.
12. The fact that we do not have men of courage and principle is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "… I will make boys their officials; mere children will govern them." Isa 3:4.
13. The fact that radical feminists are moving into positions of great power is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "… women will rule over them…" Isa 3:12.
14. The fact that our women are now placed in military combat units is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "Look at your troops - they are all women…" Nahum 3:13.
15. Gay Pride days and the blatant homosexual agenda are not our problem, they are a sign and judgment from God. "The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom, they do not hide it …" Isa 3:9.
16. AIDS is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "… Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." Rom 1:27.
17. The fact that the true prophet is not welcomed in today's church is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "… the prophet is considered a fool, the inspired man a maniac…snares await him on all his paths, and hostility in the house of his God." Hos 9:7-8.
18. The fact that many pastors preach only positive "seeker friendly" messages is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. 'Peace, peace,' they say, when there is no peace." Jer 6:14.
19. The fact that God's people in the American church demand only positive messages is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way ..." Jer 5:3.
20. The fact that "my rights, my body, my choice" has become the mantra of the day is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as he saw fit." Jdgs 21:25.
21. The fact that senseless violence is increasing in the streets is not our problem, it is a sign and a judgment from God. "Violence has grown into a rod to punish wickedness …" Ezek 7:11.
22. The fact that our President is a confessed liar and adulterer yet has a high job-approval rating is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "… they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them." Rom 1:32.
23. The fact that our Congress cannot deal justly concerning the impeachment of the President is not our problem, it is a sign and judgment from God. "Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent - the Lord detests them both." Pr 17:15.

The battle is being won, Brothers and Sisters. God has not been silent. Even his judgments reveal His working among us. Looking forward to seeing all of you in New York.
