PRESS CONFERENCE TO BE HELD ON THE STEPS OF ST. LOUIS OLD COURT HOUSE DECLARING INTENT TO ABOLISH LEGAL ABORTION

"AN EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION FOR THE NEW MILLENNIUM"

A Friday morning announcement and press conference will be held at 7:30 am. with Howard Phillips, founder of the U.S. Taxpayers Party. Phillips, will announce the party's intentions to abolish legal abortion in the United States on the steps of St. Louis' Old Court House, the site where the infamous Dred Scott decision began. In the same manner that Dred Scott was declared "not fully human" by the Dred Scott decision in 1857, millions of pre-born children were declared "not human" by the Roe versus Wade decision in 1973. Mr. Phillips declaration will establish a new standard regarding this issue for all political candidates.

Howard Phillips' Emancipation Proclamation - "It is time to free a million and a half "Dred Scotts" (unborn children who are killed per year) who have been denied personhood by the U.S. Supreme Court."

The U.S. Taxpayers Party's national nominating convention is presently being held in St. Louis at the Regal Riverfront Hotel. The Party achieved nationwide ballot access in 39 states in 1996 and is likely to achieve ballot access in all 50 states for the 2000 elections.
