Back to School - Materials and Response

1. A minimum of four large pictures of Malachi, a picture of a live baby, or picture of a decapitated child.

2. Two large print-outs of short Scripture verses. We need to place the pictures in a Biblical context. We are not here to protest abortion. We are here to present the Gospel and tell the truth of what abortion really is. (Most kids have not seen these pictures.)

3. Every piece of pro-life literature should have with it a Gospel tract. The name of a local church should be on that tract. If no local church wants to be named put your office number on it.

4. CPC's may desire their name on a tract. It is a great way for a CPC to become known to the kids.

5. "The Clinic" - a Gospel tract made especially for high schoolers.

6. A literature packet with names, addresses, and prices is can be obtained by contacting ORN. Try always to hand out literature that contains the graphic photos of children torn apart by abortion.

1. You are traumatizing and terrorizing our kids!

   Answer.

   These pictures do not traumatize kids, no matter how young, when they have parents who believe abortion is wrong and do everything they can to protect and speak for these defenseless children. My five year old and six year old know that this is a picture of a baby that is hurt. They also know that their mom and dad are doing everything they can to help these voiceless children. It is the kids whose parents tell them that abortion is a mother's choice who are traumatized and terrorized. They are left wondering if mom and dad would "choose" to do the same thing to them.

   The truth hurts, I know. But the lie hurts so much more.

   Is it worse to you that I hold this sign or that they are actually doing this to little baby boys and girls in our city?

2. I have the right to determine where and when I teach my child about this. You are trying to shove this down our throats. You are taking away my parental rights.

   Answer.

   Where and when will your children see a picture of an aborted baby? Will it be in your home? Will it be in your church? Will the public schools show the incriminating evidence of what an abortion really is? Will the media show pictures of a child with his limbs torn off as a result of a woman's choice?

   Your child has seen this picture today and there is no better time than now to tell him the truth.

3. Get that sign out of my face! It offends me!

   Answer.

   It offends me too! I'm sure it offends Almighty God even more! We shouldn't be doing this to His image bearers.

4. Why don't you go show that picture at an abortion clinic and get away from the school?

   Answer

   We do go to abortion mills and we have met lots of guys and gals from this high school here. By the time they get there, however, their mind is already made up. We need to get to them before they begin having sex. God desires us to share His plan for their lives.
