2004 - 1st Quarter OSA/Jericho Mission Street Report- Saturday, March 20, 2004 This Saturday I arrived at 6:15am. Since nobody had arrived yet, I began setting up the signs. While I was doing this a young woman arrived on foot and stopped and took information from me. She only spoke Spanish, so the best I could do was give her material. She did read it while she waited for the clinic to open, but then went inside. The cars started pulling in at 6:20am. Several stopped and talked to me, and took information. Marisol and her husband talked to me for about 15 minutes, and then pulled into the clinic parking lot. They stayed in the car and continued reading the information. I continued to call out to the customers as they went inside. One grandmother brought a 15-year-old girl. The police department came also, to obtain a DNA sample, since the boyfriend was 30 and in jail on an armed robbery charge, they also wanted to charge him with statutory rape. Amber was too far along to get an abortion, so her grandmother wanted to know about adoption. This family needs your prayers and it is a very desperate situation. Amber’s Dad is in prison, her Mom ran-off and Grandmother can’t handle her. Amber is threatening to kill the baby herself. Please pray for this young girl. The prayers of God’s people are a powerful weapon and we are the only ones who care what happens to her. Please pray and ask others to do likewise!. Marisol and her husband came out and told us that they had changed their minds! God is so good to us! John arrived at 8:00am to pray and hold a sign. The totals for the day were: Two babies were saved. Dr. Rothwell was the abortionist on duty. Once again we will be taking the post-abortion healing program into the jail in April. If you are interested in taking Jesus to those who are in such need of Him, we will be having a training class. You do NOT need to have had an abortion to facilitate a group, you just need to love Jesus. Call me regarding the training classes! On April 17, we are going to hold a "silent" witness at the clinic. We are inviting those who have had abortions to come out at 6:30am to hold the "I regret my abortion" signs as the customers are coming in. Hopefully we can have 15 or more participate in this outreach for life. Thank you all for your prayers on behalf of the men and women who come to this place and the babies who depend on you. If you are able to come out during the week or on Saturday, we could really use you. Call Dan at 817-246-8137 for dates and times. Blessings, Dear Saints: The totals so far this year are as follows: We have been out to the clinic twenty-seven days. Seventeen babies have been saved and approximately two hundred and thirty-five children have died, yet for the most part only a few people come to try and speak for those being dragged to death. The need is great for your presence. Last Saturday, Pastor Ben came to preach the Gospel at the clinic doors. Jeremiah drove for an hour to stand for Christ. Brookes and Mark manned the street and interceded for the babies who were going to die. John faithfully witnessed to the vehicles passing by on the corner. Hearts were very hard this Saturday. The hardest heart belonged to a teenage girl, who came with her mom and boyfriend. "She is only 15, her 20+ year old boyfriend said, and she is too young to have a baby." Several Christians admonished us not to judge. One Christian woman stopped for post-abortion information for her friend for "later", but wouldn’t try to stop her now. The sad truth is that the same spirit that draws women to the abortion clinic is the same spirit that keeps the church from coming to the abortion clinic! I hear the same excuses from both the women at the clinic and my fellow Christians who don’t want to come and help rescue them. These clinics are the mission fields of our day, if we don’t go, who will take them the gospel? Consider committing to come out once every month. Surely everyone can find 2 hours once a month to be a witness for Jesus! Upcoming events are as follows: On March 27, we will have a table at the Republican SD 12 convention. If you would like to help man that table, let me know. It will be held after we are done at the clinic at Birchman Baptist Church . We are going to run the Hard Truth video continually and challange the delegates to be pro-life in deed as well as in voting. It looks like we will be taking the post-abortion healing program into the jail in April. If you are interested in taking Jesus to those who are in such need of Him, we will be having a training class. You do NOT need to have had an abortion to facilitate a group. We want to hold just one class to address both taking the program to the jail and talking to the women as they leave the clinic. On April 17, women who have had an abortion are going to arrive at 6:30am to hold the "I regret my abortion" signs as the customers arrive, we hope to have 20 or more participants for this "silent" witness to the women as they arrive at the clinic. Email us if you want to participate so we can have enough signs. Once againg, thank you all for your prayers on behalf of the men and women who come to this place and the babies who depend on you, we couldn't do this without your support and prayers. Call Dan at 817-246-8137 for dates and times. Blessings Report- 2-20-04 This Saturday, six Christians came to love their neighbor as themselves and share the Gospel with those who were plotting to kill their children. Twenty-four appointments were scheduled. We had a chance to talk to several of the moms. Two changed their minds and chose life. Twenty-two babies died. But two lives were saved through the power of God. Last year, the Saints saw 81 lives saved simply because we came , prayed, worshipped and shared the gospel with those who were lost! It is nothing we do, but the mighty hand of the Lord that saves! You are missing witnessing and being a part of such miracles, by being absent from the battle. Please come and be a part of what God is doing. Call Dan for dates and times at 817-246-8137. Carole OSA/ Jericho Mission Street Report Street Report Thursday February 19th Two of God's people showed up before work to share the gospel with those who need to hear it. Six clients came to purchase death for their children. Christine came from Abilene this morning, but couldn't go through with the abortion. She burst into tears when I told her that everything would be okay, and that we would help her. Please pray that she remains strong. For the day there were five children killed and one save. We rejoiced in the victory and left for work., hopefully others changed their minds and left before Rothwell arrived. Carole ARCHIVES
